DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Strength
Difficulty: level 3 of 5

Couch to Fit is a strength workout built around the one piece of equipment everyone already owns - the couch. Three rounds of tricep dips anchor the session, spaced out with squats, calf raises and bicep extensions performed with nothing but your own bodyweight. It is designed for people starting out, coming back after a break, or anyone who wants a low-barrier way to work the whole body without leaving the living room.

The structure is deliberate. Tricep dips appear three times because pushing strength fades fast in untrained arms, and repeated exposure is how you build it back. Between each set of dips, the workout shifts the load somewhere else entirely - quads and glutes with squats, calves with raises, shoulders and biceps with extensions - so your arms recover while the rest of you works. Nothing sits idle for long, but nothing gets ground down either.

On the dips, keep your hips close to the couch and lower yourself with control - the descent is where the triceps do their real work. In the squat, push your knees out and keep your heels down so the load stays in your legs, not your lower back. Calf raises reward a full range of motion: all the way up onto the balls of your feet, pause, all the way down.

The couch got you into this. Now it gets you out.

Make it Harder: Slow every repetition down to a three-second descent.

Make it Easier: Bend your knees during tricep dips to take weight off your arms.

I really like this website. It doesn't make me overthink what to workout. I would just do one or two of these workouts, walk for 45 minutes and stretch. It makes me feel good.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
