DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Hiit
Difficulty: level 4 of 5

Brief But Brutal is a timed circuit that delivers precisely what it advertises and nothing gentler: 15 seconds of jump squats, 15 seconds of push-ups, 15 seconds of jumping lunges and 15 seconds of burpees. One minute of total work per set. There is no filler station, no recovery exercise hiding in the middle - all four movements are among the most expensive things you can do with your own bodyweight.

The design is a straightforward wager: intensity can replace duration, but only if nothing is held back. Each 15-second window is short enough to attack at full effort and long enough to hurt by the end, and the sequencing gives your legs no diplomatic exit - jump squats and jumping lunges bracket the push-ups, so the plyometric load returns just as your chest and arms finish paying their share. Burpees close each set as the great unifier, folding squat, plank, push-up and jump into one movement performed on a body that has already done all four separately. Working to time rather than reps also removes the usual negotiation with yourself: the clock does not care how many you did, only that you kept moving until it said stop.

Sink to real depth on every jump squat and land soft, knees tracking over toes - fatigue will lobby for shallower reps, and the lobby must lose. Push-ups run chest-low and full range at whatever pace you can sustain honestly. In jumping lunges, switch in the air and absorb each landing into the next lunge. Make every burpee complete: chest to the floor, full jump at the top. Fast and full beats fast and half.

Sixty seconds of work per set. The brief part is the clock's problem. The brutal part is yours.

Make it Harder: Stretch every station to 20 seconds.

Make it Easier: Swap jumping lunges for fast alternating lunges and step back into the burpees. Do shoulder taps instead of push-ups or hold a plank instead.

I really like this website. It doesn't make me overthink what to workout. I would just do one or two of these workouts, walk for 45 minutes and stretch. It makes me feel good.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.
