One of the easiest cabbage recipes - sauteed with onions and tomato paste. It takes just minutes to prepare (mostly slicing and dicing) and after that you just need to keep an eye on the pot from time to time making sure it still has enough moisture to saute in (water and juices). It helps to simmer it from time to time but otherwise it's fairly straightforward. Although basic the recipe is very high in nutrients and low in calorific value - so it has that going for it.
It can be served on its own or it can be combined with fried turkey mince. To make the mince just season it and fry in a covered pan for 10-15 minutes and mix with the sauted cabbage and simmer for another 5 minutes - and serve.

1Dice the onions.
2Slice the cabbage into thin strips (make sure they are all the same thickness).
3Season and saute the onions in 3 tablespoons of water at medium heat for 2-3 minutes in a covered frying pan until they change color. Simmer them from time to time, making sure they don't burn.
4Add cabbage and pour in 0.5lt of boiling water (use a kettle to boil it).
5Saute covered for 30 minutes until cabbage is soft.
6Add tomato paste and saute for another 10 minutes.
7Take off the heat and let it set.
