Quick Tomato Sauce

Most stores offer tomato sauces ready to go but they never taste quite as good as homemade. If you don’t have time to make sauce from scratch, though, two ingredients - cinnamon and molasses, will make any tomato sauce taste absolutely delicious. Molasses counters the acidity of the tomatoes and cinnamon brings out the flavor.

It’s always best to buy salt-free and oil-free tomato sauces but look for a version with already added onions and carrots.

Note: molasses is still sugar but unlike white or brown sugar it is nutritionally dense and will even up your iron intake.
