    DAREBEE Tree 2016








    Protocol: Pick an ornament and earn it!
    Reps for all the challenges are given in total - however long it takes you (provided it's still within the cut off date - December 17th). Once you have completed the challenge for the ornament you chose, post it below and it'll be added to the Hive tree.

    The ornament you add will have your nickname attached to it. On December 17th the tree will be ready and it will stay up until the end of December.
    It'll then be archived for posterity!

    P.S. You can only have one so pick wisely.

    Awesome - another challenge to be fit on Christmas Eve

    Is it okay to do push-ups on knees, or should I rather choose a different ornament if I can't do "real" push-ups?

      sleep_twitch if you can't do full push-ups, then yes, it is ok you are doing this for yourself, the important thing is for you to feel that you've earned it. I hope this helps!

        With this many Christmas activities, I feel this year I'll end up losing weigth instead of gaining it after the holidays

          Thank you - this helps a lot I would like to do push-ups as I need to work on my arms to improve my bouldering skills, but I have some lower back issues which make it impossible for me to do a lot of "real" push-ups. I will give myself a day to think about it and then start tomorrow - maybe 700 sit-ups would not be such a bad idea as well

            For modified push ups, you could also try the hands elevated method instead of from the knees (hands on a step, on a bench, on an exercise step). It gives a more realistic range of motion and improved core development, if it doesn't affect your back problems.

              neilarey I assume we have to do those reps on top/in addition to everything else we do, right? We cannot include exercises done as part of other programs/workouts? I just want to make sure, as for example in Weekly Quest we can include reps from other workouts. I think others would also appreciate a clarification.

              Personally I guess it should be all done additionally, but asking won't hurt anyone

                So many sit-ups for lower back issues can be more harmful than knee push-ups – just sayin'

                    You guys are making Christmas fun for the first time in ages. And the tree will be up on my birthday so yay. Ok, I'm bad at choosing, I'll take a few more hours to pick one, but so far push ups feel like the right choice.

                      Just one more question,Once we have earned an ornament we can go for another one, I hope?
                      The Tree looks absolutely lovely , especially as one is scrolling down or it could be my office lights mixed with my insomnia

                        rahul27 the P.S. says you can have one and only one so pick wisely. I've been sitting here staring at my screen for 10 minutes trying to figure out which one I want. Plenty of time to choose though.

                              Ok after staring intently for 15 min contemplating and enni mini miny moe and blind picking , The Barbell will be the ornament on the tree. Looking forward to earning this . Starting within the hour.
