    Sigh....

I haven't worked out In about a month or so and now I have gotten lazy. I know the importance of workouts and fitness but too comfortable not working.

    Starting from scratch again...

    I want my mojo back!

I know this feeling I've also had these lazy episodes... several times. It feels horrible, but getting back on track feels good! So don't get discouraged by this long period of not working out, you can get it all back! I believe it

The last period that I got lazy and stopped working out lasted over three months. At the end of last year. I lost my strenght and overall fitness and felt like I had to do something about it but I didn't for a long time, even thought I KNEW it would make me feel better

For me the hardest part is getting started again, but when the momentum is gained back it's a lot easier to stick to it again. Even though sometimes I can feel that it's trying to suck me back in... the lazy me. It's like getting pulled off course by some inner force that wants to see you defeated and disappointed in yourself But. No! You can overcome it! Punch it in the faaace

"lazy" sounds so negative when in fact its a human evolutionary position. if you consider that we evolved from hunter / gatherers, they worked hard when they had to and rested when they didn't. our bodies are engineered to encourage us to rest when we can because next week, next day, next hour, we might need extreme energy to catch our prey or run from predators. that may not be the way we live now but our DNA hasn't changed that much. its not lazy. its evolution.

you are doing something pretty d@mn3d amazing when you overcome an evolutionary imperative. getting started is the hard part and building and keeping the momentum can be a key factor in success.

that said, i still think you should be a little nicer to yourself. being lazy is part of our perfect human design. overcoming that, doing a little more than you did yesterday, that makes you super human.

I'm fighting evolution with you fitnessguru . I am feeling the effects on my clothes, the scale and physically. I am getting winded faster, my joints are more achy. I think I found some new motivation today. We will.see if it sticks long weigh to get back into the habit of working out while that lasts.
