    Yoga with a Katana

    Because, why not?
following benefits: (a) yoga seems cooler, (b) light resistance with isometric hold, and (c) additional balance component.

Isn't that what Taichi basically is / can be?
Different sword ofc, but sword + meditative movement.

I don't know about this... but I think more people do & know Yoga exercises than Tai Chi exercises. So you don't have to learn something complete new, but take the already known exercises and combine them with a sword-like weapon or substitute of choice.
Which would be easily (yet in a challenging way ) doable with this workout for example: https://darebee.com/workouts/destres...x-workout.html

Interesting idea. You like you go for it. Me personally I would do them seperately. Different disciplines, both potentially very in depth, you would lose their benefits in the amalgamation.
hasn't all the sword discipline got some form of movement practice?
I will follow this thread to see how it works for you. enjoy.

The Warrior poses would fit I guess. These poses flow nicely into each other, can be held for some time and are all standing poses so you don't have to drop your sword.
If the holding part is not that important I can recommend to check the Dance with dragon workout. I think if you do it slowly and smothly it could be very close to a yoga flow with a sword.

It is in comparison to yoga every movement has a combat base, a reason to be done the way it is. It is not just holding a sword while doing yoga.
And the flow is much more dynamic as in regular taichi, cause the sword leads the way...

I like it very much, and if you G0BL1NK1NG are interested in it you should find yourself a class to learn it.
