About the pull-ups, starting from dead hanging, I now manage to lift myself very little, something like 1/2 cm, by tightening the back muscles and bending the elbows a little bit, so there is progress since at the beginning I could just hang without tightening anything.

What do you think about this goal? Do you have other ideas?

This is a goal of mine, as well. I am using the Kitten workout as a prep, along with Scapula Pulls, which are using those back muscles you mentioned.

Cabriel I experienced this "my bar gets loose" moment many years ago. I landed flat on my back. Was really hard to breathe for the first seconds... not a very pleasant experience.
But no worries, my current pullup bar is rock solid!

I did assisted pull-ups today at the gym 5-5-4-3. It's not one of my better attempts, but at least I attempted it.

I'm planning on getting a free-standing pull-up bar so I can go outside when the weather is nice and work on pull-ups. At the moment, I'm still at one at a time being my max. Still not counting fractions, but the latest attempt got me about halfway on a second one.

I started 30 Days of Strength, and will currently have to do pull-up days in the gym.

So far 2019 is off to a good start.

Just got back from the sporting goods store and they didn't have what I was looking for, but I was able to get an inexpensive pull-up bar and install it on my bedroom door frame. The bonus is that it has places for wide grip, narrow grip, and neutral grip. And I don't have to drill holes in my door frame! Victory is mine!

Now on to the lots more pull-up practice!
