      Day 1 done
It took me just over an hour and a half to finish.
I only used 15lbs for my curls to see if it would hurt my elbow(s) because of the amount of reps. They seem completely fine so I will use 20lbs tomorrow and make it a touch more challenging!

It would be very nice to reach 100 push-ups but I must be realistic if I reach 80-90 in one go I would be happy (my max is 60). Maybe next time I do the experiment .

I am also planning to increase my dumbbells weight at day 4 (14kg) because I am too comfortable with 12kg.

Good job! I agree with you it is important to keep the experiment challenging.

I got Day 2 done in about 50 minutes this afternoon.

Less time, higher reps in my last handful of sets, and I increased my dumbbells to 20lbs which feels much better than the 15lbs I used yesterday. I am surprised I was able to finish this day so quickly! I am so sore right now.... But looking forward to tomorrow!

I have restarted the experiment but this time I'm only doing the push-ups part (partly because I really want to achieve 50 push-ups in one go and also because I won't be at home and therefore won't have access to dumbbells).

I'm on day 3 right now and except for the first day were I did three sets of push-ups to failure all the other push-ups were spread throughout the day in sets of 10

            7 days to go!

Knocked Day 3 out this morning and wasn't quite as fast as yesterday though. It took me about 1hr & 20min today from start to finish.
But.... I hit 40reps on my first set! This is a new personal best, I have never done this many push-ups before ever

                  Day 2 and 3 Done!

                  Day 2: 6 sets 50 push-ups and 50 curls (12kg) with 1 min rest between sets (~35-40min).

                  Day 3: 5 sets 50 push-ups + 10 diamond push-ups 1min rest (included in avatar upgrade) and 6 sets 50 curls (12kg), 1 min rest after work.

I need to find a new way to do my 300 workout. I am stuck at 50-60 push-ups/set because I lack energy. My progression is not the same as the first time I did the experiment and I am worried to not reach my goal. Advice welcome!

Mr. Octopus I suppose the issue is that the first time you do this program it breaks a metabolic plateau through a huge load at once that comes in whereas now your body adapted. When performing an experiment with many punches and push ups (you can find the details here: http://darebee.com/hive/playground/1...ts-on-the-body ) my performance level and efficiency improved very fast leading me to drop energy expenditure and increase speed... It is exactly what you do, you do the workout faster and faster and I bet your energy expenditure lowers.
You could try to break the routine to trick your body or increase the load.
EG : go to failure with push ups and then perform with fatigued muscles... should increase endurance, or if you want to go for muscle growth add a few reps to each series so as to keep growing...

Day 4 is complete and I am more sore in my lats today than anywhere else
though my chest and triceps are definitely up there too!
With higher reps in each set again today I finished it in an hour. 42reps in my first set is another personal best

Challenge accepted! I'm game for giving this a go. I just bought a pair of 8 lb dumbbells and need to work the upper body while I've got an injured foot.

Here is an unscientific scientific description on the results achieved after I finished the experiment. The description is based on a subjective judgment on my part

I chose to do the experiment in a slightly different way. Most days the push-ups and bicep curls were done as part of a WoD. The WoD was either a HIIT or a strenght/tone typed workout. On some days I also chose to do different kinds of push-up variations to challenge myself and to hit different parts of the muscle groups.

I did see a physical transformation. My abs, upper arms and shoulders got more defined and my upper arms got more "bulked". In terms of strength I also experienced the same thing. Here my core was also strengthened. The increase in strength came pretty quickly.

Eventhough I chose not to go to failure I could do the push-ups a lot faster and still maintain proper form and range of motion. As an example, on the last day I managed to do 8 sets of the Shredder workout in 45 minutes. Thats a total of 320 squats, 320 lunges, 320 punches, 320 bicep curls and 320 push-ups.

During the day I could feel the load in my chest and arms. But as reported by TheRaven it wasn't really soreness.

If I should give some advice, if you consider to do the experiment.

I found it mentally stimulating to do at least 200 repetitions in one workout. This way the load for the day was almost done. It was also important to have a good night's sleep as also recommended here. It is also important to listen to your body and stop or alter your routines if you start to feel a pain fo example in your elbows, lower back or wrists. Especially on the last days of the experiment you have to be careful when doing the last reps of your set, especially if you are going to failure. It is especially important on the last reps to focus on proper form and range of motion as your body is fatigued which increases the risk of injury.

Last but not least after the experiment it has been difficult for me to stop the urge to drop down on the floor during the day to do some push-ups So be aware it is contagious

Here is a recap of the 300/300 experiment.

                            Day 1-2
                            Day 3-5
                            Day 6 & Day 7 & Day 8 & Day 9 & Day 10

Sundance very nice results! I agree with you it becomes kind of addiction. You can't wait for your push-ups/curls workout
