    The Yoga Team

    Dear fellow bees,

This is an idea from my check-in thread - a place where we can talk about our yoga practice, share inspiration, links and videos, discuss yoga-related topics etc.

I decided to put it in the check-in thread section, as it doesn't fit into any of the sub-categories of the playground in my opinion. If anyone feels this isn't the right place, we can maybe have it moved somewhere else.

    I'm tagging twinkletoes K e l l y Ann-Core Sevalys so they can tag more "Yogi Bees"

Let's "find what feels good" together

    Love

          This is great!

And I think it fits into the Playground section pretty well. I'll move it there for you, so it doesn't get buried under the tons of personal Check-In threads and more people get so see it, if that's ok for you

Why not? I'm very interested in that form of fitness, since a colleague told me she saw great results, especially core strength. Can you share any nice "beginner's pilates" videos?

Thanks, TheRaven I think it will be easier to find in the Playground as well.

sleep_twitch here is the link to the original post, and you can find the spreadsheet HERE. I have it saved on my hard drive if that link ever goes down.

                    Thank you for the link K e l l y

Concerning playground vs. check-in threads: I always thought that in the playground, you had to choose one of the subcategories (challenges / research / kitchen) - I never knew that there was an "only playground" part of the forum

(***WARNING: THIS MIGHT BE A LONG POST due to attachments***)

I actually love Blogilates / Cassey Ho - found her before I started doing Yoga workouts.

Next month I am going to do these 30-day Challenges - both Stretch Project & Stretch Revolution. You start with #1 on Day 1, and hold the pose for 1 minute.

                        The older version: (I like this one because I LOVE #6, 8, 21, 22, 25 & 30 ... although I cannot do #30 properly yet )

As for a beginner video ... This is one of Cassey's REALLY old videos. But its really descriptive with breathing.

Most the beginner poses is also difficult! Don't be fooled by them! But I just started regardless if it was beginner or intermediate or even advanced. I just try my best to do the poses to the best of my ability, and my body is starting to get there. Eventually you get there with practice!!!

Why I actually love Pilates is, because it was Blogilates/Cassey Ho that inspired me to exercise (on her Youtube channel). I was really obese, and the poses was too difficult, and then I found Darebee. And now that I lost most the weight with Darebee, I can do more these Pilates/Yoga poses with more ease. It was harder to do them when I was bigger (my stomach was always in the way!!! hahahahaha)

I'm going to follow this for inspiration. I did some hot yoga classe in January and LOVED them...then I ran out of the new student intro offer passes aaannnnddddd it was not in my budget. Lol. I need to incorporate more yoga into my own fittness practices...it is not like I don't have fun being stubborn and seeing how long I can hold anything I can get into, and my ballance and kinesthetic sence are attricious (my flexibility is...not deplorable but nowhere near awesone).

Awesome idea/thread. I personally have a very bad relationship with yoga (my flexibility is horribly imbalanced) but my kids do the Cosmic Yoga all the time. That lady creeps me out but she is at the perfect level for the kiddos, strongly recommend for about 4+ y/o
