    Ten Years Of Darebee!

It's a wild thing to say. Darebee is now ten years old! What started as an idea that free can change the world by simply helping everyone who is ready to take charge of their fitness journey, has turned into a global movement represented by the principle that "Fitness is a right, not a privilege". In that time we broke a lot of fresh ground. Darebee pioneered widely accessible bodyweight workouts at a time when everyone thought they couldn't deliver what structured gym classes promised. Darebee pioneered combat-based training in exercise programs at a time when everyone else thought you needed a class and an instructor for these to deliver results. Darebee continues to pioneer with month-long programs, monthly challenges, daily exercises and workouts that challenge the body without exhausting it and help the mind change without confusing it.

Normally we would celebrate. We'd ask you to participate in fresh programs, some fun events, a live Q & A. These are not normal times. The world around us is more challenging than usual. We are still in a pandemic that is still challenging our ability to live life as we used to. We are now facing additional external stressors in the development of geopolitical tensions in Europe and other parts of the world with persistent, regional conflicts. These affect us even if we are not directly involved or directly linked to them in any way. The 21st century, it would seem, presents more problems than solutions. Offers more anxiety and worry than happiness.

Yet, we are here. So are you. That in itself is a victory. It is also a testament to what can be accomplished when people get together in a safe space where the sole purpose is to help others on their journey and receive help when we need it, in turn. Ten years ago that was a radical concept. In some parts of the internet it still is. But not here. Not for us. On some days this may not feel enough but it is more powerful than you may think. The words you write, the thoughts you share, the way you welcome total strangers in a space where they openly share and feel vulnerable and the positive impact this has on them is hard to describe until it is experienced. Those of us who experience it are changed for the better.

So, while no plans for showy celebrations or self-congratulatory events are in the offing, we will still offer you, this year, more content designed to help you be better and feel better. On days when you feel low Darebee and The Hive will be here to lift you. On days when you feel you can fly, we will be here to help you fly higher, faster. Thank you for being part of our journey. We are grateful to have played a part in yours. Here's to the next decade, whatever uncertainties the external world may have in store for us, we know we can rely on this space staying safe, supportive and empowering.

Massive thanks and congrats to the team and everyone, I agree Darebee apart from being a reliable and amazing resource, also shows what can be done when mutual/global care/sharing/support is prioritized over profit, greed, power-seeking, clout, etc...
I think there's a lot to learn from darebee for people interested in radical politics - I really mean it.
        Love from Europe (Switz.) ❤

It is amazing to see already at least 4 countries represented in the responses on this thread. It really goes to show that we are all stronger together

Dear Darebee Team, I am sure I am expressing the thoughts of many when I say we are grateful for all that you do and for your dedication to keep Darebee afloat. As many members as Darebee has, I personally know for a fact that this resource is also accessed regularly by many non-members.

Onward to the next 10 years :-)

                  Cheers

I still haven't really taken charge of my fitness as I am dealing with my mental health issues first BUT I can say, without a doubt, this site and the awesome bees I've met (some still with me, others not) has helped me immensely.

So I want to thank you neilarey, Damer and the rest of the team for keeping this site running.

I also want to thank Kanary for the amazing inspiration she is. I'll never be so dedicated and strong as you but I'll try.
lofivelcro For offering to talk with me on my mental health and keeping me on track.
TopNotch, TheLibrarian, Fremen, XxXKiarraXxX. I may not have as many "followers" as some of you but the ones that do and have stuck with me...😊 🫂.
