Post Hack Update #2 / Functionality

    Post Hack Update #2

So it's official. Today we received the final report on how our website was compromised and, as we suspected, it was via the login system on the main website. Which pretty much means the folder and the tracking capability of the website is not safe to have, at least in its current state. We have looked through all possible options and right now we are unable to support the feature AND guarantee that the website won't be hacked again. This time it was not a serious hack, nothing was majorly damaged but we did go offline for 2 hours and a ransom note was all over this place. This is not something we want to ever see again nor do we want to potentially lose the website. If the hack was any more elaborate we could have.

All that said, we realize we do need something here to allow you to keep track of things and be able to save stuff for later. We are not saying this is it, we'll never have that again but we do need time to examine our options, find a safe and fail-proof way to implement similar functionality into the website. A major update is coming to the platform the DAREBEE website runs on and it may offer some native code we can work with. There are options and we will be looking into them, all of them, and we will figure this out.

Right now, we are working around the clock to finally enable a new section on the website. We should have an announcement and the Hive-exclusive access sometime this week (fingers crossed!). There are also two new programs that are coming to the end of the testing soon we are excited about. The MEALPLAN section is heading for an update, just like you've already seen with the Modern Hero Mealplan changes. The hack happened at the busiest time for us completely disrupting the chain of new releases so we are behind schedule even now. Once we are over the main bulk of the work we fell behind on, we will re-examine the functionality situation and we will update you on what's going to happen. Right now the consensus is that the old functionality has to be completely removed and we need to find something else, something better to put in its place. We just can't do it right this minute but we will work it out.

More announcement to follow as many things are up around here and we can't wait to share it all Long Live DAREBEE!

Wow, you managed to make TWO NEW PROGRAMS and other things while dealing with the hack and all those shit!!!!!??? You make it sounds like you have a hundred people working on the team! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Please take as much time and rest as you need. Just like injury doesn't worth it, your health should be the priority over the speed of release.

I know a lot people are using the tracking and folder features, but I personally never use those functions except ticking day off on challenges, and I have already gotten used to not having that convenience. If I like a workout I simply screen cap it or I find it on the workout section every time I need it. For programs I simply save the pdf on my phone or laptop.

Thank you for letting us know the current situation.

I echo all the above! Despite the hack, you've kept us on track with fitness and stress goals. Never missed a beat. Simply amazing.

          Thank you.

Thank you SO much for all that you do! I knew that you would work out the issues with folders\tracking. I am grateful that you're taking the time to do it right instead of putting a band-aid on it or doing it some half-assed way that is susceptible to another hack. Not that Darebee does ANYTHING half-assed. LONG LIVE DAREBEE!!!!

I can honestly live without the tracking. As long as Darebee goes on and the workouts and Hive are here Bees are unstoppable.

Thank you so much for everything you are doing, really !

As kandy said, take your time and take care of yourselves though, tracking is cool but as far as all the resources are available, I'm good.

(Can't wait for the new stuff coming )

Folks, I love your site and recommend it often to others.
But I'd rather have the brains behind it healthy, happy and confident than strung out and on the edge trying to do all the things.
So, please, take your time. Use my dad's maxim: Touch it once. It may take extra time, but do it so you only have to touch it once.

I have my log where I can take a look what I did yesterday. So everything works fine.

oh .... and .... of course... you are some amazing badasses!

We all appreciate what you're doing for us, all the sweat and hard work that goes in. Thank you so much for giving us this haven.

Just thought everyone should be aware of the alternatives - I've used the tracking functionality only for, like 2 months. Before that and even now, i use my phone and my pc. I've downloaded all the programs, challenges and workouts and have stored them in multiple locations - online and offline. Takes up approximately 1.5GB of space, give or take. That's because i'm well aware of how volatile a place the internet is. To track progress, all you need is a google account for Sheets - who doesn't have a google account in 2019?

                      P. S. Looking forward to the new programs and site update.

I'm with everyone in here, PLEASE, STAY HEALTHY.
As for the tracking, I usually type everything on a doc before putting it on the log here (which I haven't updated lately ).
So, on my part, I can live without the tracking and folders for as much as you need/want me to.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO YOU ALL FOR YOUR WORK
