Moving servers / 7-10 June
This week we are officially being moved to new servers. The data transfer will begin tomorrow, once it is completed and we made sure everything has been carried over successfully we will make the switch. We expect some downtime during that period. Although we were reassured that it'll only be roughly 40-60 minutes during the actual change (the exact date is yet to be confirmed) we do advise that you save a copy of your program/workout for that day, just in case. We will let you know 24hrs beforehand.
The window we have been given for the entire process is: from 7th to 10th of June, 2017. Our billing and service will remain the same for the time being but in the future we will be looking to update our current plan (if and when we can afford it). For now, we will be upgrading our server security and adding an SSL certificate.
Since everything but the hosting provider itself (the company) is remaining the same you shouldn't see any difference in the service post move. This announcement is simply to let you know what's happening and to keep you informed
For those curious what DAREBEE currently runs on...
We have a dedicated server:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231v3 [4 Cores @ 3.4 GHZ / 3.8 GHZ Turbo, Hyper-Threaded]
Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600 ECC
Primary Disk: 2x120GB Intel S3510 SSD
Secondary Disk: 500GB WD Black 7.2k RPM HDD
Tertiary Disk: 1000GB WD Black 7.2k RPM HDD
Disk Controller: Standard On-board / Linux RAID
The resource currently eats up roughly 3T of bandwidth.
