            Today’s victory: I managed to get started with my training again.

            I had set myself the goal of completing High Gear at level 2, as I did not feel it would be realistic to complete it at level 3 after almost 14 days with no training and virtually no training in September. So, it gave me a much-needed morale boost to complete it at level 3, even though the last two sets were unbearable, and I was utterly done afterwards.

              Today’s victory: I managed to do 60 days of Cardio on level III.

              60 days of Cardio seemed deceptively easy: 10 climbers/2 plank rotations done five times in a row for seven sets. After the first two sets, I came to realize it wasn’t easy at all as I was still sore after yesterday’s training. So I had to muster all my mental strength to finish it on level 3, and my shoulders and core weren’t happy at all with me afterwards.

                    I find Spellbound very intriguing. I'm stuck at chapter 7 at the moment as my spells don't have any effect. I have an idea for today which may solve the conundrum I'm in.

                      In recent weeks, I have been a bit down in the dumps. It is not a specific incident or experience which has caused it. It has come more insidiously like a thief in the night. I've been busy the last few weeks with work, so I have not been aware that I have been heading down a hole. In hindsight, there were small signs such as a slight change in my eating patterns, not enough sleep and no exercise.

                      I have been on holiday this week. We have been to our summerhouse where we have had walks in the woods and on the beach. I have also done small things during the day that I appreciate. I have also started training again. It is all helping me to crawl out of the hole I had stumbled into. I'm not out of the hole yet, but I feel I'm well on my way.

                      At the moment, I'm reading "The Mindful Way through Depression - Freeing Yourself from Chronic Unhappiness". I find the book interesting and helpful with its focus on mindfulness - an area which I have found useful in the past.

                      Today I started practising to be mindful during my daily chores, starting with my meals.
