BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 11 (Fri 4th December)

MY FIRST 60 DAYS ARE UP! Yay! I am now a sixth of the way there! I’ve also been assigned my Secret Santa! Yay! So will be sorting out my present to them by next week

It looks like for my 3 Day Failure Exercise I’ll be doing Burpees. So thank you to the below people for giving me the hardest failure workout first

      Tracetrauma
      Martyn
      Gee
      Ventralcorp
      JordanSR
      PhO3n1x
      thething213
      Heisenberg
      Dusk
      Baston
      Mad Mary

      Dieu
      Piru

This week was Run Week. I managed to break my ‘to work’ time TWICE again! Even without sprinting; firstly by 28 seconds! Then by 3 seconds! I also broke my ‘from work’ time by 4 seconds! I think this was due to the ‘how to run’ poster by Darebee, giving me advice on my feet and posture. So thank you for the awesome advice. I’ve also managed to only take 2 walk breaks during my runs ‘from work’ which I think was awesome. However in my last run of the 60 days I managed to run ‘from work’ with NO BREAKS at all! And beat my best by 7 seconds!

The Armor Abs workout was a good workout you can really feel the burn when you are using your legs. I have completed Steakout (Not bad, but won’t be good for further levels), Confessor, Grounder (Nice Killer), Abs of Steel, Inferno (Real Sweater), Phoenix Burn (Good Workout) and Homemade Back (Nice easy workout). I’ve also been doing my advent calendar in addition to my workout, which is great fun.

In my UPS training, everything went very well. I was really worried about my slide theory turning up during my workout, but clearly I was wrong. As you can see it has all gone great and I pushed myself really hard on the last 3 set days.

In the total 60 days so far I have ran 84 Miles in the average of 16 Minutes 4 Seconds per 1.2 mile trip, 1079 Pull Ups, 4133 Push Ups, 4550 Sit Ups. Click image for larger version

I’ve managed to Conquer 2 more from the list, which is awesome! As for my muscle progress, please check out below to see how my training has been affecting my body! I’ll be doing my first day of Failure Exercise when I get home tonight!

        Those charts :lovingit:
As for the muscle map, at first I thought that the red areas are those you saw the greatest change in, but that doesn't fit the description. Are the red parts those you want to focus on in the future? I guess I already know what to vote for next time :rocky-5:

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 11 UPDATED (Fri 4th December)

I have made a huge miss calculation on my Running Time. It turns out I have ran 86.4 Miles in the average of 15 minutes 38 seconds per 1.2 mile trip! So I have been a lot faster and a lot further

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 12 (Monday 7th December)
Welcome back everyone! To another exciting 60 days of my 360 Day Training! Unfortunately there will be no charts in this entry as it is only the start of the 60 days
I have now set up the new voting poll up in the chat room for you guys to vote for what exercise I need to do in my next 3 Day Break (Click Here to follow)

This week was Run Week and what a good start! I managed to set my first ‘to work’ time in 13 minutes and 30 seconds! Can’t wait to see how I do on the way home!

As some of you might know I am testing each training plan that Darebee provided for workouts, this week is Assassin Week so this will be fun. Tonight I am starting on Big Bang (what better way to start) I am still currently on level I, but in the next 60 days I will be leveling up to II and with 1 minute break between sets instead of 2.

In my UPS training I am now doing 10-Count Dead Hang Pull Ups, Power Push Ups and Sitting Twists. This morning it was quite interesting to find out the 10 Count Dead Hang was quite a difficult pull up, PERFECT! This will make things more interesting later one when I do my regular pull ups again. As for the sitting twists I am doing both sides as 1 rep so 120 reps means 60 reps, as I wasn’t surprised how far I would get as a starting point. The Power Push Ups are also a cracker of an exercise I managed to get 20 as a start point, which is great!

Next Update (Fri 11th December) – We'll see how ASSASSIN and RUN WEEK went! And CHARTS!

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 13 (Friday 11th December)

Welcome back everyone. I hope the training is going well?

I have had a bit of a downer during the week. My parents and wife ganged up on me about my Spartan Races, they think that I am not good enough to do it, and that I am too naive to do it. However I’m going to bet them wrong, because they are finding an assault course that could be nearby me to show me ‘what it will be like’, this will be a great opportunity to not only prove them wrong, but to add some extra routine into my training. So wish me luck guys!

Let me know what you think about this. Do you think I’m not doing enough for the races or should I do more?

The voting is going well (Click Here to Follow). So far Pull Ups are in the lead. So this is getting interesting

I would like to thank the following people who have voted so far

                    Candace
                    twinkletoes

                    Gee
                    Redline
                    DrShellgon
                    Awesomelyupgrading
                    Roterteufel
                    KYRO
                    SuPo77
                    Sarasta
                    Rogue
                    porks
                    CDubs
                    nappunkitty
                    EricThePersistent
                    Ventralcorp
                    Takezo

This week was Run Week and I was so excited to get a great start time for my ‘from work’ run with 10 minutes and 35 seconds! However my times are getting higher this could be due to tiredness, but managed to get a good time this morning on the way ‘to work’. Hopefully this won’t happen again next week. Fingers Crossed.

The Big Bang Workout was a very good workout for the arms and legs; I will definitely use in my level up days. So far I have completed Nutcracker (got a Good Sweat), Chase (Good Leg Workout), Borg (Love it). This Assassin Week was overall a really good workout, but I currently have nothing to compare it to so we’ll wait and see when I do the Knight.

In my UPS training, I managed to push my 10 Count Dead Hang Pull Up to one more the next day and push a little further in my next 3 set. It goes for the Sitting Twists I have been managing to get higher each time, which is great and a very good start for my 3 sets too. I keep pushing myself because I know I can do more. For the Power Push Ups I have been keeping the same amount each time but will be trying to push further each time so we’ll see in the future how this goes.

As you can see I made adjustments to the charts by connecting both together saving on server space. I hope it makes sense basically the value readings of the running are on the left and the UPS on the right. Click image for larger version

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 14 (Friday 18th December)

Welcome back everyone. I hope the training is going well?

This is now my 300th Post! So this is a great post to tell the good news. I’ve now registered for the Spartan Race Super at Peterborough Elton Hall in September, so there is no going back now!

In these races I am also sponsoring 3 of my favourite charities Kent Greyhound Rescue, Kent Air Ambulance and of course Darebee. Without Darebee I wouldn’t be able to do this amazing challenge, so I think it is only fair some of the charity money goes to this awesome site to keep up the fantastic work they are doing for all of us

The voting is going well (Click Here to Follow). So far it’s a tie! Pull Ups and Clap Push Ups, so exciting!

I would like to thank the following people who have voted so far

                      LucidBlue
                      Baston
                      FreddyMinaj
                      Cortis
                      Susana
                      Beowulf
                      Foxdiva9

This week was Run Week. It wasn’t a bad start this week ‘to work’ and ‘from work’ with a time faster than last Tuesday. However I felt very tired the next day as you can see, I think I must be near the wall and I need to hulk smash that sucker. Luckily on Thursday I managed to get a good low time again which is great. Hopefully after the Walk Week I’ll be going faster than ever.

The Weasel Workout was easier than expected and was great fun. I was more worried about the V-Ups, but I nailed them (so that’s a tick off my conquer 20 ). So far I have completed Bad Day (not bad), Juggernaut (Wasn’t as grueling as I expected which is great), Ab Crunch (really feel the burn), PT Pyramid (feel the work in the back which is great) and Master Chief (loved the 10 count Push Ups. This Knight Week is a very good strength training plan, I would definitely recommend this for muscle build

In my UPS training, my 3 sets are going up in Sitting Twists and Power Push Ups, which is great. The Dead Hang Pull Ups are staying where they are at the moment with the occasional 1 rep drop. This is usually normal with my Pull Ups, so I’m hoping either next week or the week after my power will increase, so fingers crossed!

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 15 (Friday 8th January)

Welcome back everyone. I hope you are all burning off that food and booze from Christmas and New Year I also hope Santa got you all what you wanted.

In this post I want to personally thank dinerys for my amazing present! I can’t believe being a huge Tim Burton fan I didn’t know about that book Thank you.

Also MissSmilla I am very glad you liked your present, by the way did you get why I used monkey and not any of the other characters?

So far I am over a QUARTER of the way through my training! As I am celebrating this occasion, I am also letting you know I have managed to complete 3 other Conquer 20’s: Reverse Grip Push-Up, Dragon Flag and V-Ups.

Voting is looking good (Click Here to Follow). So far Pull Ups are in the lead. I would like to thank the following people who have voted so far

                        Tracetrauma
                        Mr.Inque
                        Jofist
                        Junkyard Dog
                        myotis

The week after my last update was Walk Week this went ok, not my best times, but this is usually my recovery week so hopefully the next week I will be going a lot faster. As you may now on the last day of walk week I went a lot slower than usual, this was because I was walking back with a mate after the Work Christmas Do and I didn’t want to be rude.

Next was Run Week and as I had no work I had to get to work, and then straight back again, so this was quite challenging, also I pushed myself a little further ‘to work’ and I managed to beat my personal best by 8 seconds. Sadly though my time ‘from work’ wasn’t my best, but I am still very surprised at myself that I managed to run all the way back without any stops, especially as I had to come straight back.

Then it was Run Week again, but I’m back at work this time so it will be a little easier for me, I also got some brand new running shoes, which were awesomely comfortable. I managed to get a good time ‘to work’ on Tuesday, but didn’t beat my personal best. However I managed to break my ‘from work’ best by an astonishing 31 seconds! I still can’t believe I managed to do that; so that’s 10 minutes and 4 seconds! But unfortunately this turned on me the next day by getting a little slower.

The Titan Workout was exactly what I expected a nice good workout. So far I have completed Blaster (Good), Master Pack (Good Burner), Hell’s Circuit (Killer), Altair (Great Workout), Max Impact (Good), Spartan (Not Bad), Ultimate Burn (Surprisingly good), Special Forces (Gruelling), Power Burpee (God I couldn’t stop sweating), Atom (killer), The Monday Workout (did that on a Tuesday screw the rules), Super Soldier (not bad), Tower Storm (Good), Deathstroke (Not as bad as I thought), Ironclad Abs (Feel the burn the next day), Avenger (Great Sweater), Torch (nice easy workout), Super Sonic (Good Sweat), Hard Core (Good Workout) and Set to Stun (Really Like this one). The Guardian Week is quiet a good training plan, I feel slightly more tone after 1 week. The Superhero Week was very good; I do feel overall a lot stronger. The Scout Week is quite a good work out, I do feel slightly more toned this week

In my UPS training, I have made a slight change to the Pull Ups by changing them from 10 Count Dead Hang to just 10 Count, the previous exercise was damaging my shoulder, so swapping this really helped. I’ve also made progress in it as I hoped, the same with the sitting twists I am gradually gaining more reps. However my power push ups took a slight dive (which I knew would happen), but not to worry this will hopefully come back up again

I am also starting the Splits in 30 Days, so I can accomplish another one of my Conquer 20. So far my splits are terrible, but its only the start so hopefully my flexibility will get better

BlackButler 360 Day Training - ENTRY 16 (Friday 15th January)

Hi Guys, I hope the training is going well

I have some awesome news. My mother has found a great assault course that I can use quite near me at a really good price. It’s called the Confidence Course at (Betteshanger Country Park). It’s a 530m course and at only £2.50 who would say no! I will be going every Sunday, so I will keep you updated how the training will go on this.

My training plan for this would be:
Walk to the Assault Course (1.2mi.)
                            530m Assault / 5 Burpees / 530m Run / Repeat
Walk back to First Location (1.2mi.)

Voting is not going great this week, as no one has voted (Click Here to Follow). So far Pull Ups are still in the lead.

This Week was Walk Week and at the start I went really well I even beat my ‘to work’ personal best (within my 60 days) by 41 seconds! in fact it was faster than my ‘from work’ time that day which was strange (maybe because it was raining and I didn’t want to get any wetter than I wanted to). However today I beat that time again and this is even a overall ‘to work’ personal best by 35 seconds! The walks ‘to work’ have been staying around a good pace except for Tuesday when I went over 20 minutes. ‘From work’ hasn’t been to bad either on time, which is great it means my muscles are getting better each time.

The Beast Workout is a raging killer and I could not possibly complete 3 sets, so what I have done is I’ve swapped it for the Codex Workout which was great, but I have done one set each day of The Beast so that I know I have still accomplished it. So far I have completed BBQ (Killed halfway through), One & One (Killer Near the End), Core Fusion (Feel it in the Abs), Primal (Killer on my legs) and Supernova (Nice Workout). The Gladiator Week has been intense so far I am feeling a lot more ache in the muscles, which is great!

In my UPS training, everything is going smoothly. My push ups are on the steady rise, the pull ups are going exactly how they should be and the sitting twists are a killer, but I managed to pull through the pain

My Splits in 30 Days is now finished I’ve decided this is too much strain, I’m worried I’m not putting a lot of focus into it and I don’t want to damage myself doing it.

As some of you might be aware who reads my check-in is that I started rock climbing (or Bouldering) this week at the (Revolution Climbing Centre & Skatepark) in Kent. It was a great experience, I’ve seen how well I can climb around the place thanks to my training, but I know I can do better. As a warm-up I go around the entire wall trying to get to the end. Afterwards I make myself challenges like “only touching red stones” or “touch the letter stones” as starter challenges and when I think I’m ready I’ll start on the ceiling wall which should be interesting. Its amazing how much you use your forearms in rock climbing after a while I could barely open my hands. So I will definitely be going back next week for some more training.

I’m also going to try a little experiment for the next month. I’m going to try a fasting technique. When I eat my main meal in the evening and at my last bite I will check the clock and then only be allowed to eat again in the next 16 hours from that time (e.g. 19.45 finish meal = next food at 11.45). I will continue this till the 30 days are up, this should be interesting

Hey BlackButler, you got a real nice log going on here, I especially like your themed weeks and your excel graphs. However, could you put data points on your graphs? (there should be an option in excel) It's just a bit hard to tell the exact data from the graphs because there's just the x and y axis and the intervals are fairly large and the data is hard to determine (I'm not sure if I missed a post on this in your log so please enlighten me ).

                              Keep up the good work!

DrShellgon Thank you very much for taking interest in my log Basically I made it so that my ups training is all the reds and my running is all the grey, its the same with the values. What I might do it put a note on the last entry of my data each time I upload to make it a little easier to understand Thank you
