    The Journey Continues

This is my 6th check-in log.

My last thread started on 1/1/2021 and was named "transformative year" with several training goals. It turned out that the most transformative thing I did wasn't any of those but getting sober from alcohol, and I just reached 1 month sober yesterday, totally unimaginable until you made it.

The badge next to my avatar is a sobriety badge instead of a workout one.

But I would like to exercise regularly again, too, after 3 months of a pretty inactive life, but I am more on the well-being side now. At this point I am going to restart the knee rehab exercises my physio teaches me to do, all calf and foot-related. They are pretty boring and time consuming, so I have to force myself to do them for the next 30 days. I am also doing some lower level Darebee workouts. Train my forearms and grip just because that's pretty cool and helpful.

    My workout today:
You Have to Catch Me First, level 2 but good enough for me
    Calf and feet exercises
    Some legs and wrists streches
    ---
    Sober since 6/19/2022

Great idea of using the badge in another way that suits you best. Happy 1-month and all the best for your continuing journey.

                      Workouts today:
                      Reboot, day 1, level 3 (23 minutes)
                      Extra Credit: 2-Minute Warmup
Knee rehab routine (calf/ feet) (42 minutes), day 2/30
                      Sandman

I feel like my Darebee spirit is returning pretty quickly; my body is also adjusting fast. Reboot day 1 on level 3 obviously got me do more work than yesterday, but I had an easier time today. It's moderate exercise but still good enough. I didn't do any warmup yesterday and my knee was hurting a little bit afterwards, so I decided to do a 2-Minute Warmup, which could be a good daily routine by itself, or the 4-minute version.

I was contemplating on the challeges, one being the 20,000 high knees. It seemed a lot, but I just did 700 today and I was fine with it.

Also reset most of my badges.

It really helped me make myself do those calf/ feet exercises. It's easier when you are being active. It's 42 minutes today and most of the time it's just one-sided and I didn't even do all of the exercises. It can simply take forever, but my goal is to get at least 3 of them done each day.

                          Reboot, day 2, level 3
20,000 high knees, day 2, did 4 sets of 100
                          Calf/ feet routine, day 3/30
                          Man Down

Calf DOMS from the workout yesterday. The high knees challenge is great, actually, but I might be too ambitious with sets of 100.
