Healthy body, healthy mind - my struggle to regain my mental health

I started well in my health body and mind journey but then Easter hit and it all went belly up.

I haven't drank as much water as I'd like and I haven't brushed my teeth either. I need to get back to it now that Easter is over.

I need something log it in, a physical book. I was going to buy either a bullet journal or specific journal to do this and more. The specific journal is from James Breeze, the writer of Atomic habits.

    In other news

I made a drink from my geeky bartender book. It's a non alcoholic drink called "milk of the poppy" and is based on the drink from GoT. It's nice but looks like mustard.

      If I may....
I'd recommend a small book you can take with you. Something you can keep in your pocket, or on your belt. It's much easier to keep track of your things when you have your notebook with you, whenever possible and feasible. I have a small one and a pencil in a cheap but waterproof plastic case I can put on my belt and take it with me wherever I go. Though I learnt the hard way to leave it at home when I go somewhere I don't need to log things, a hike, for example, because I lost it once.
Try to make new things as easy as possible, it helps sticking to them.

ID:	850929I drew this earlier today. What would you say? Out of 10.

lofivelcro I'll see if I can find a nice wee notepad to use.

The pupil/iris looks pretty solid, I like the reflection, very classic. Not so sure about the lid fold in regards to the upper eye line, because of the straight line - curved line. The lines on the lower right curves are good. Definitely an improvement to your last eyes. With that in mind and seeing that there's still room for improvement, I'd give it a 8 out of 10. I'm not an artist myself, though. I like to hang out on a drawing board when I feel like it, and what I took away from the Anime Study General thread is: copy manga pages, characters, whatever you like.
Here's something to read about this:
And good to see that you practise often.

lofivelcro thanks. I just finished a rather unimpressive attempt at a girl (will post a picture tomorrow as I am off to sleep).

Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot_20220420-224423_Gallery.jpg Views:	0 Size:	97.0 KB ID:	851074So I played Genshin Impact today b4 work. I did my commissions and now have about 260 primogems. I said I was gonna save them up until either the Raiden Shogun or Yae miko come out again but now I might pull on Ayaka banner after a few more days grinding.

Work was work... big payday tomorrow (they decided to change when we get paid).

I think I might buy a new manga pen set and an artist set when I get paid so I can start working on making my drawings a bit more "manga looking".

I also haven't really practiced and of my languages in a while so I might buy another bullet journal and use it to track my habits.

New eyes I just drew. I like the right one better tbh

                Finally did some exercise
Grabbed my swords, Bluetooth speaker and phone and went and did some sword swinging, anime songs blasting as I exercised.

I think I did 15 minutes. I was using 2 swords so I practiced a 6 step flow (left diagonal, right diagonal, double horizontal, diagonal upward left, diagonal upward right, double horizontal).

The pump in the forearms and grip even though my swords are made of condensed foam.

I just completed all my commissions in Genshin so I might go and sit in my sauna for 20 minutes later before work.

I need to develop a morning and evening routine .

Some eyes that I did last night. I think this drawing is kinda funny.

Looks a bit like a bird or something. I still like the light reflections in the eyes, glad that you're trying styles with them.

lofivelcro now that you say it... it looks like Nero from black clover (in her bird form).

                      Different eye styles

Symmetry's looking good. Think about where the light shines from when putting the reflections in the eyes and work on the fluidity of your strokes. There's visible progress to be seen. Do you study eyes of different mangaka?

lofivelcro thanks 😊 I don't study eyes in manga but since starting to draw them, when I watch anime I look at the eyes. I just got caught up on Shimimiri's not just a cutie and the eyes in that anime are beautiful (but I'm a simp for waifus anyway) but in all seriousness the eyes are what caught my attention in that anime.

My new manga pen set arrived 😍 🙌 😀 😎 and I went and bought glitter & pastel pens as well as pencils and a new pencil case. I did a colour mix test (trying glitter pen, pastel pen & pencil in a set of eyes) here's the results (I can only include 1 eye)

Keep in mind that I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I think the outer lines of your last eye are pretty good. Maybe work on your circles for a better grip on curves and circular shapes. You know, sketch circles whenever you have time.
Have a look through safebooru for more inspiration on eyes and the like:

lofivelcro I'm considering buying a mathematical compass to draw better circles.

Don't do that. Those are for technical and precise drawings, which you don't want to do. You want organic looking circles that maybe are near perfect, but not really perfect. You want to build the muscle memory in your hand and arm to draw the best possible curves. So practise that. A mathematical compass will only be a crutch if you want to do natural looking drawings.
