huma Gandhalfit mavie It helps to remind myself that it will all be green in two months, even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment.

A slower day for me, where I only got over 10,000 steps for step count at the end of the day.

In the evening I did The Executioner (level I), Barbarian (level I), Arena (level I, EC) and Maxed Out (level I, EC). I chose two easier workouts for kicks and plyometric after focusing on pushups for the first two. I also added in 12 pushups at the end to make 160 for the day.

That leaves partner and wild card for this rotation.

It was another relatively slow day for me. I got over 10,000 steps, but again only later in the day.

In the evening I did Agent of Chaos (level I) but with chain instead of dumbbells. Chain is interesting as the weight increases as you pull further, though in this case the chain was far lighter than what the dumbbells weight, so it was not that heavy for me. Regardless, chain satisfies the wild card requirement for the rotation.

I also modified the newest workout Dreadnought to do with my wife as a partner workout. We only did one set, but made a few changes. The lunges were not done solely as reverse lunges, but instead we alternated front and reverse simultaneously as we faced each other. Side lunges were modified by adding a 4 pound medicine ball toss. Pushups with shoulder taps were done by tapping the partner's shoulder and plank rotations were done back-to-back. We did 2 pushups each time, as it is more at my wife's present level.

I added in 60 more pushups to get to 100 for the day.

That covers the rotation for this week, so I will start again on one of the next few days.

I did a 6.3 km run in the morning. As with a lot of runs these days, I am just running connectors between other routes on the big map that I am keeping of my runs, just to combine everything together eventually. It makes for some pretty boring routes, just running through neighbourhoods, or even today partially through an industrial park. There is not really anywhere else to run though, as all of the scenic paths in the city are still covered in snow and ice. Probably only a few weeks until I can start in on those better paths. Today's was a route that is near our favourite bakery in the city, and I have found a decent place to park nearby, at a community centre, so it has become my base for that part of the city. I did 6.3 km in 39:31.

Later on in the day I did 110 pushups. As I got a decent run in, rest day will be next.

SheWhoMustNotBeNamed They are nice, but they will get much better soon as I can run on pathways through parks and alongside the rivers.

Today was a rest day, though that is a relative concept as I didn't get to sleep until 3AM last night and woke up at 730 AM with the boys. I got over 10,000 steps during the day, thanks in part to having done over 5000 before going to bed last night.

I did 120 pushups over the course of the day and I did Back and Neck Pain Relief (though I had none of either).

Similar to yesterday, I had to stay late at work, and ended up with over 5000 steps before going to bed at 3AM. I built on that with a walk today with the boys (it was around 10 degrees) to the creek to see the ducks. After we got back I chipped away at the ice in the laneway so that the meltwater can drain to the street. I did that for about 20 minutes. Step count for the day was over 15,000.

In the evening I did Superhero Upperbody and Aladdin (level I, EC). The first workout was tough. I do a lot of pushups and can even do most of the sets/reps that I see but I had to break this up instead of doing 5 sets of 20, I did sets of 12-18, though I managed 20 twice. So although I got the requirement for Extra Credit, it is not really in the spirit of the workout to claim it here. For the second workout I did burpees with pushups and then added 8 more afterwards, so I ended up with 220 for the day. Ever since last August when I stopped building my "per-day" number of pushups, the number has been gradually falling, but today it went back from 123 per day to 124 per day, though probably only briefly.

With burpees/plyometric done, now I have pullups, partner, dumbbells, dips, abs, kick and wild card left for this rotation.

The lack of sleep finally caught up to me today and I felt a little lethargic throughout. I even fell asleep with the boys when I put them to bed in the evening, which I usually don't do. I got up after a bit though and did Triceps (level I, EC) and 130 pushups. I also managed over 12,000 steps throughout the day.

That takes dips out of the rotation and leaves me with pullups, partner, dumbbells, abs, kick and wild card

                        NancyTree Thanks!

Today was a bit slow. The lack of sleep and general fatigue caught up to me today, and I was a little lethargic throughout the day. It didn't help that the boys woke me up at 630 AM. I still made it over 10,000 steps, but just barely.

In the evening I did Agro (Level I, EC) and Power Punch Express (EC). For the first workout I managed 5-5-5 on the pullups. I also added 10 pushups at the end.

Agro has both kicks and pullups, so I have partner, dumbbells, abs, and wild card left.

Another somewhat slow day, as in the best case scenario my kids are waking me up before 7 AM these days. I need to change my bed time at night, or alternately just wait a couple of days for the hours to change. I still got 10,000 steps.

In the evening I did Home Upperbody Tone (level I) and 110 pushups. Like last week I played soccer inside with my older boy, and that might be it for "wild card" this week as I probably won't get another chance.

That leaves me with just partner and abs for this rotation.

This morning I did a 4.6 km run in 28:36. Like a lot of runs recently, it was a fairly boring route through a neighbourhood, though this morning I used a book return to a library as a reason to go to the next neighbourhood over to design a route there. It is an annoying time of year too, as some water melts every day and then freezes at night, it can be hard to tell what is newly frozen (and therefore slush or water underneath) or solid ice. Either one is not the best for running on, but it helps to know what I am getting my feet into. It should only be a few more weeks until I get some better temperatures to work with though.

In the evening I did Master of Abs (level I, EC) and 110 pushups.

That covers abs for the rotation, and because of our schedule we won't have a chance for partner workout this time, so that completes the rotation for me.

I noticed you've had a couple of slow days in a row. What really impresses me is your perseverance. You do something every single day. Truly inspiring.
                              Thank you for the pictures!

motionaction Thanks, a bit of the explanation for that is below.

A bit of an odd day today. I started the morning with a 5.7 km run, mostly just to connect other runs together on the map (I have a city map where I highlight all the runs, these runs just make the map look better as everything is connected). As with a lot of these runs it was not particularly interesting, but it had some parks and a totem pole. I did 5.7 km in 33:21. Also had a person congratulate me towards the end of my run (I didn't catch exactly what he was saying, something to the effect of that I was doing good for my heart).

After this we went to a sucrerie, a traditional Quebecois restaurant with lots of food and loads of maple syrup. The idea is to overeat and my wife estimate that I probably ate over 2000 calories in the meal. Good then that I basically didn't eat for the rest of the day. It was strange though as I not surprisingly felt lethargic afterwards and had to drive 90 minutes each way to get there. So a decent amount of activity today, mixed in with some very sedentary activity.

I did 110 pushups in the evening.

This is the last day of my present job. I was a little bit surprised, but two days after getting a job offer for this position, a recruiter reached out to me about another position, also in the airport, but in a different company, which is more in line with my experience. This job was fun, it was pretty much what I started doing at my first airport job about 9 years ago, but it hasn't been so easy to maintain regular exercise. I was back to loading/offloading aircraft, and while I got a lot of exercise doing it, it is not always necessarily the healthiest exercise. For instance, on hands and knees in the cargo hold of an aircraft throwing bags up to 75 pounds to the door of the cargo hold, or alternately the opposite process of loading it. It has added to some pretty good step counts in the past month, but being done at 230 AM or working outside for 4-5 hours at a time in -20 C temperature takes it toll, and my exercise has correspondingly been more basic in the past few weeks as I have been choosing the easy workouts versus more advanced options. I start the new position on Monday, and I am looking forward to choosing the physical strain that I put on my body now.
