Being chased by a dog is a bit of an anticlimax after having to negotiate bears! Welcome back (sort of, you know).

Good to see you again! I’m very much impressed by the amount of exercise you managed to do during this very busy period. I love the pictures and the stories. Now I want a bamboo playground too! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us.

Good to see you back It was great to see your pictures, you've got some beautiful scenery there. Curious about the bamboo forest, is that designed to test your balance and coordination? It looks like fun.

Welcome back, glad to hear that the move went well despite the hiccups. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all that text and have to go through it piece by piece, but will definitely read.

TopNotch True, though to be fair, I have never been chased by a bear.

BlackButler I have an old one that is mostly for show for the same reason. I think the strings wouldn't last long.

Zastria I would say balance and coordination but also upperbody and lowerbody strength. It is a little bit like climbing.

As expected a bit of fatigue has caught up with me after a busy coupe of weeks. For the first part of the day I couldn't manage to do much except watch the kids. I just zoned out mostly and put a bare amount of effort into duolingo and no effort into reading.

Once my wife got home I did go for a 7.1 km run, though I completed it in a relatively slow 43:21. It was a decent route, about 2 km north to the Ottawa River, and then running alongside it. It does make me miss my old running routes in Thunder Bay a bit, if only for the reason of vehicle traffic (though I only had to cross 2 busy streets two times each). This is not a permanent location for us anyway and I have a number of routes (around 10) that I want to complete while living in this neighbourhood, and this makes three already completed.

The park that we went to yesterday has by far the best playground that I have ever been to, so much so that it has themed areas around the playground with their own entire structures (Old West, Abandoned Mine, Viking Ship). So although it is not the closest playground to us, I have a feeling that we will be going there very often. This park also contains the exercise park, which was a lot busier today, though in general the large park that contains it is extremely busy with active people. Tonight two separate groups of runners (10+ people in each), at least 4 yoga/boot camp classes, about 4 games of sport and even people practicing rowing on the water nearby. I used to think that the city that I just moved away from was active (which it was) but if this park is any indication, then it makes the previous place look less impressive. I wasn't there for a long workout though, just a place to do pullups other than the stairwell. I did 30 pullups, and my step count for the day was over 17,000.

Pretty tired later when I got home, even fell asleep for about 20 minutes when I was putting the younger boy to sleep. I woke up and did 120 pushups to finish off the day.
