BlackButler Thanks! It took the first few times out to figure out how to get it to fly straight, now I can do it about 90% of the time.

huma It is a fun way to break up regular training. Also I have read that ballistic plyometrics are a good way to increase overall power.

I was a little bit over the whole city region today, chasing down deals from online marketplaces. One of the places that I went to was not far from the park that I visited soon after moving to Ottawa and which I returned to once recently as well. It is odd though, because the park is not close, and I keep having reasons to go there. The reason today was that I was supposed to do a pickup three blocks away from it by coincidence and had a bit of time to kill first. So I did 24 pullups and went to one of the of the BenchFit benches and did 10 incline close grip pushups. This was not such a huge deal, although I had walked by the bench the previous time that I was there, and not realized until the next bench that there was an easy side and a hard side to each of the information signs, and so this time I wanted to check out what was on the hard side. It was pretty chilly (-4 degrees, wind chill around -7) and the boys had minimal cold weather gear in the car, so I had to give them my stuff. This meant I didn't want to hang around long.

In the evening I did HIIT Abs (level I, EC), Killer Core (level I, EC) Day 3 of Fit December and 100 pushups.

It was a fairly busy day with visits to a couple of Christmas markets and some other errands. Step count for the day was over 11,000.

In the evening I did Ab Builder (EC), Concrete Core (level I, EC), Iron Dragon (EC) and Day 4 of Fit December. I am not sure about Concrete Core, filtered in for a level 3 workout, but on the page says level 5. I didn't have much trouble with it, so likely more like a level 3. I saw Iron Dragon earlier in the week, and knew I would have to complete it to stay on top of the dumbbell workouts, but I put it off until today. Also the closer that I get to the end of the list, the closer I look at the list and the more I recognize. I was doing the Plank Select workout with my wife quite often this past summer, so I am also taking it off the list.

I also did 100 pushups at the end of training.

I love the bench fit! Do I see it right that you have to stand in the grass when you want to stand behind it like they suggest in the pictures?

NancyTree They were pretty inventive in designing the workouts, and use pretty much every part of the bench as is possible. For those they do suggest to do it on the grass.

It was a busy day, though maybe not as much activity as I would hope for, and maybe more food as I hoped for, as we were trying to do most of our Christmas shopping. I finished with over 9000 steps.

In the evening I did Cycle Core (level I, EC), The Stitch (EC) and had to take a Hall Pass on Day 5 of Fit December because the boys weren't falling asleep well. Also did 100 pushups.

I had been wanting to get back into swimming since a while, but hadn't gotten around to it. In our new neighbourhood we have an indoor public pool nearby, about a 650 meter walk away, and so I went there today. It was a good day to decide to go, as I m replacing some running with some swimming, we had a decent winter storm over the past 24 hours which gave us a lot of snow, then a lot of rain, which meant a lot of slush. So it would have been a horrible day for a run. I was swimming a lot when I first got back into shape, and it came back easily to me. I had initially planned on only 8 laps (200 meters) but everything was feeling all right, and the two other people that I was sharing my lane with were going a lot farther, so I ended up doing 24 laps (as per my former habit, I did one length of crawl, then one of breaststroke). My fitness tracker recorded it as being 22 minutes, though it gave me an extra 50 meters for some reason (also I couldn't take a picture for obvious reasons, and the picture I found on the internet is a bit weird, taken with a panoramic camera.)

In the afternoon I did Shredder Abs Edition (EC).

In the evening we did some more Christmas shopping. We went to a Decathlon to buy some fitness equipment. My wife used to work in one of these, but I had never been in one as they only moved into the North American market recently. It is an interesting store, and I used a couple of pieces of their equipment to do 3 pullups. As with my usual habit, I also grabbed a dumbbell and did some biceps curls while. I got a 15 kg and was doing those, though not easy.

In the evening I did Day 6 of Fit December (as one set training) and 100 pushups, but my arms were somewhat tired by this point of the day.

Another day running errands to get the house in order, but I am not sure how many more such days we need as we are getting closer and closer to being done the house. Step count for the day was over 8000.

My evening was a little compacted because my wife bought an elliptical trainer and I put it together tonight. At the store we were told 15-30 minutes, but I think that was by the employees who put these together often. Instead it took me more like 90 minutes, so that meant the boys went to sleep later which meant less time for exercise. So I did Origami Abs (level I) but didn't do EC, partially because the boys had hidden one piece of the elliptical and my wife found it while I was doing the workout, so I stopped and finished it so she could do her exercise there. It was also a long workout, so I used another hall pass on Fit December and did 100 pushups. I also tried out the elliptical for about a half minute, but it is not really my favourite exercise machine.

It is the same model that I took for my mother, she does an hour every day

Fremen That is great. I spent a lot of time today with one boy on each step while I worked the arm levers back and forth.

I was busy in the morning and early afternoon but still got a decent step count for the day at over 9000.

I made up for a bit in the evening as I did Core Builder (EC), Homemade Abs (level I, EC), Outcast (level I, EC), Total Abs (level I, EC) and Day 8 of Fit December. I also added 100 pushups.

I was at home today with the boys, and with a cold enough temperature outside, decided to just stay in. I still got over 9000 steps though.

This evening I did Bulletproof Abs (level I, EC), Day 9 of Fit December and Home Upperbody Tone (level I). I have stopped using the dumbbells consistently over the past month since moving in and should get back into the habit, so it was good to do at least one dumbbell workout tonight. For Fit December I did one set training as I usually do with this program, though combined with the abs workout I must have done around 750 high knees tonight. I also added 100 pushups.

Today I took the boys out for a visit to the science museum. As I was without the car and relying on public transit this gave me a decent step count, at least for this time of year with over 12,000.

This evening I did Core Connect (level I, EC), Gut Control (level I, EC), Day 10 of Fit Christmas and doubled my usual pushup count so that I could get the ornament for the Darebee Christmas Tree (though 20 of those were in Day 10 of Fit Christmas).

Another day at home, and without the car and a stormy day, once again I didn't leave the house. Step count was low, just over 7000.

We had two power outages during the day, and the latter with no lights after sundown, I took advantage of the near darkness (and nothing else to do) to fit in my exercise for the day. I did Flat Stomach (EC), Overhaul (level I, EC) and day 11 of Fit December. I did Overhaul as one set training, doing 5 straight minute of high knees, just because I didn't feel like so much back and forth between exercises, especially after the high knees in the first workout.

                            I added 100 pushups later.

I meant to do a run this morning but the path I wanted to run was closed for the winter. I opted for a second path and it was covered with ice. I gave up after that because we had other stuff to do. We did a museum and a few errands today so my step count was over 11,000.

I am in another competition on FitBit for steps, so I opted for more high knees today and did Fab Abs (level I, EC). As with yesterday I did it as one set training, as I did for Day 12 of Fit December. I also did 100 pushups later.

I got out for the run today that I had intended to do yesterday. After doing a bit of research I found some paths that are always plowed in winter in the city, and headed there. Conveniently, it was close to one of the exercise parks and so I did Ruthless first (level I, EC), the most recent pullup bar workout. I have to admit that my resolve for doing a workout outside is much less when it is 2 degrees with winds gusting to 50 kph. I tried three pullups at the end, but I am a bit out of form after dropping them from my workout routine. I was anyway able to do 5 chinups per set to get EC.

The run was decent, as I did 4.4 km in 25:45. I guess a lot of other runners had the same idea as I had. Despite being mid-morning on a workday, I saw 6 other runners out.

We did a bunch of walking today, with a bunch of shopping and staycationing. I got over 18,000 steps in.

In the evening I did Fit December Day 13 and then added 37 more pushups for 100 for the day (the workout in the morning had 63).
