A Merry (Belated) Christmas to you as well, Fremen and Baryl .
Before I disappeared into video games and chocolate for several days, I pulled my exercise bike out of storage in my pantry. Usually it comes out mid-September, but the weather has been so mild that my outdoor activities have not really slowed down until recently.
Despite not having done very much for over a week, my average weekly weight only increased by 1.6 lbs. / 0.7 kg, which I am very happy with. But now it's time to get a bit active again!
Also, got my 3rd COVID jab yesterday, which is a nice excuse to take things easy for yet another day.

First Thing Water (ran out of lemons again!)
Exercise Bike (Rolling Hills - 30 minutes / Level 8 / 8.7 miles (14 km) / 17.4 mph / 63 rpm / 231 calories / 135 heart rate) (I find the last two metrics highly suspicious.)
(For the first little while, I am not worried about any metric except time. I have had the bike for 4 or 5 years and I usually start riding at 20 minutes and that's what my body gets used to, so it becomes difficult to increase the time over the ensuing weeks. This time around, I am starting at half an hour with an easy pace and will let the intensity increase naturally, as it usually does.)
(I am trying some behavior modification theory with the exercise bike. After a half hour ride, I reward myself with 1 small piece of chocolate. Research shows, that this will keep me riding more consistently over a longer period of time, due to the brain creating positive associations with the activity. Yes, I am finishing my leftover Christmas chocolate for science!)
A Salad a Day (Avocado and Cashews for lunch.)
-----
Walk (Groceries - 30 minutes)
-----
Exercise Bike (Ride in the Park - 30 minutes / Level 8 / 8.9 miles (14.3 km) / 17.4 mph / 67 rpm / 241 calories / 125 heart rate) (Perhaps I'm overdoing day 1, but I wanted to stop feeling lazy and my left arm is a bit sore from the vaxx.)
