But First They Must Catch You

(mild content warning for ED / body hatred recovery)

Hi! I'm Fitness Jones, and I'm working out to

    1) fix my hormones
    2) not be prediabetic and
    3) achieve the level of daily movement necessary to maintain a baseline functional body with minimal pain!

The fitness support resources in my life are all very steeped in body hate and disordered eating / orthorexia, so up until now, I've been going it mostly alone and that's been going pretty poorly.

I'm working my way through Square One (and, for context, it's not.... hard-hard, but it's hard enough that I am glad I'm starting now and not once the shit really truly hit the fan).
I'm also starting Couch to 5k (which I've completed twice before) and trying not to do too much too fast - I have been fortunate enough to work remotely for the entire pandemic and while this has been GREAT for minimizing my exposure, it has wrecked complete havoc on my physical and mental health. I can't really feel too bad about where I am, because mentally, I absolutely was not in a state to recognize the problem until very recently.

I've just finished Square One Day 6, I have skipped my daily walk for the past two days in favor of video game escapism, and we just found out we have to find a new place and move by the end of the month.

    Let's gooooooooooooooooooo!

“All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.”

                    Thank you!

We moved a bunch of boxes today.... day 8 and 9, in the books. Soon I hope to resume running again, I just found my old headphones.

Good day to you! I commend your commitment to the program despite past experiences. I have some experiences with similar issues around food many years ago and am always surprised when those demons raise their heads again and cause more problems. Keep going warrior, keep going!
