I like to think of it as encouraging, I've never experienced anyone judging here... But whatever helps you!

    Thanks, Anek!

    Day 322
    Cardio Go Day 3
    25 Mins of Rowing
    KB Swings

I'm back on my old laptop, after I've stupidly spilt some tea over the case of my PC and gave the electronic parts a shower. No idea why there are so many holes on top in the case, probably for air circulation or something. While it certainly feels comfortable to work with my trusty laptop, I haven't missed the fans revving up every few minutes.

I also came up with a few concrete goals for the next year. Makes me feel better, tbh. Tomorrow (or the day after that) I'll buy a calendar to jot them down somewhere in front and keep track of what I'm doing. I've never owned one, mostly just wrote dates and appointments on a post it and stuck it somewhere. But I got the tip that having a calendar for such things would be a good idea so I'm inclined to try it out.

Know what? I usually don't like complaining much and sometimes I wonder why I write fairly personal stuff here, but I feel like it helps somehow with getting things in order. If I just think about those things, or talk to someone close by, something constructive might or mightn't come out of it. If I write it here, I feel like people silently judge me for it, so I'm inclined to work on those issues. Which is a bit weird, but as long as it helps...

It stopped snowing, Anek, so Hime can relax for now
Maybe I can organise a camera sometime, but thankfully, the internet provides pictures, too. Here's an official picture of the hat in question:

It fits extremely well and is very comfortable to wear. Someone probably measured my hat when I was distracted or something.

    Day 321
    Cardio Go Day 2
    20 Mins Rowing

And no more moping around. I have enough other things to do. A lot of them, actually. So let's get going.

Oh poor Hime! It's funny and sad at the same time!
I can live with just a pic of your hat, if that's more comfortable

I'm not that fond of having taken pictures of me and don't have any cameras in the house, but who knows, I might make an exception for you, Anek.

    Day 320
Cardio Go Day 1 (this time for reals)
    Awake and Alive (WotD)

I also added a measly 200gr on average this week to my weight and am now at 53.1kg.

Now that I don't look like a skeleton any more it somehow feels like I've reached a major goal, came off a high and are falling into the deep hole of having no motivation to go on. I'm a bit stumped on where to go now, on what to work and especially on keeping up the amounts of food I have to eat to gain more weight despite moving so much. It's also the end of the year and I feel like I should think about some goals for the next. I have a few blurry ones (getting back into Chinese, upping the shop hours to get everything in order until I take in Jules as an apprentice, getting to the point of doing real work next season, etc...) but I feel like I lack concrete ones. The blurry ones often lead me to nowhere, until I feel I'm spinning my wheels at some point. And I need to find out where to go with my body.
There's also some peculiar longing for my home country I haven't felt in a long time and a hazy wish to see my father again. Travelling is out of the question at the moment, though, with all the responsibilities around the house and the shop, so... eh.
I try to remember if I'm usually like this around this time of the year but come up empty. My other half tells me I'm gloomy around Christmas but in better spirits afterwards, so this time something is different.
No idea what, so back to the drawing board and thinking some more.

Btw, Hime's still suspicious of the snow and hides in her hut whenever new one's falling, sticking her head out and barking, only to flinch back whenever a snowflake lands on her nose. I think I have a broken Husky.

Thank you, huma, feels good to look normal again

    Day 319
    Unwind (WotD)
    Running

Hime woke us up with lots of barking. It was snowing outside and I guess it was the first time for her and got her confused. I let her into the house then so she could calm down. Then breakfast, a bit of exchange of presents and then I went out for the rest of the day and took Hime with me.
I'm glad Christmas is over, tbh, it's not a good time for me and I usually spend it outside, alone, and only come back late in the evening. So, not much working out today. I did a few runs with Hime, with the longest being almost ten minutes, and the Unwind workout when I came back home.
Now I've got some serious thinking to do.

Btw, I got a cowboy hat for Christmas. A real authentic one, shipped from the US of A and made out of beaver fur felt. A bit late, but maybe it's a sign that I should take up riding or something.

Thank you, Fremen and Lady Celerity, Merry Christmas to you, too.

And Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to everyone else, hope you'll all have quiet and relaxing days.

As for us, we spent the days the same as always, with slightly better food than usual

    Day 318
    Push-Ups
Cardio Go Day 1 (I have to re-do that tomorrow. In my infinite anti-wisdom I did the workout after cooking preparations and snacking on the various ingredients. Which led to me feeling sick during the third set, after which I stopped. Note to self: Not eating one hour beforehand. Should've known better)

Now, for a late night walk in the forest.

    Day 317
    Toughie (WotD)
    KB Swings

Work's done. I said my trusty work pony good bye. No idea if I'll do that work again, it was more of a stop gap so I don't have to renew my licence. Now that I'm getting notably stronger, I'll start training properly with the bow and boar spear again so that, hopefully, I can do real work next season.

Also, major milestone I noticed today: In relaxed state, I can't see my ribs any more. They still get very visible when I stretch or move, but just standing it's *thumbs up*. This makes me very happy.

And tomorrow, I'll succeed in dragging my sorry arse out of this state of laziness and start with my plans I've put down earlier in this thread for real. Yes. Yes, I'll do that.

Your words are very true, Trbrat75, and I think I understood what you meant. Thanks for taking the time to write that out, I should keep them in my head the next time. Which would have been today, but I read them too late. Tomorrow, then.
I have a plan in place and the stupid notion to start on Friday, after my last day at work, but honestly, I could have started today. Or yesterday. Because I don't have anything better to do, in terms of exercise. Lazy, indeed. No idea why.
    At least I'm doing something.
