Ha ha, thanks, DorothyMH and sunpetal. I don't mind being called names, I was more surprised at the occasion. But I'm having dinner with her (and her family) to get an apprentice and I won't complain that I get a chance.

    Day 325
    Cardio Go Day 6
    25 Mins of rowing
    KB Swings

And that's it for the year. It was a good one. Looking back, I managed to get some of my old strength back, as well as ten kilos I desperately needed, I got civil-unioned and realised I have more of a family than I thought I had. That's pretty damn alright in my book. Speaking of book, I finally started reading books.
As for 2022, here are a few goals I've set for myself. Those are goals, not resolutions, which always fail.

    Fitness Goals
-More weightlifting again. I need to build more muscle. Basically, I just want to add more weights, that's it, probably.
-Push-Ups. Work my way back up to 20 for now. After that, 30. And so on. But 20 is the first goal. I'm currently stuck at 16.
-Chin-Ups. Work up to 5. Then 10. Etc.
    -Pull-Ups. Same as Chin-Ups.
-Hazy and completely vague goal: Get back into otter mode and actually look fit agian

    Non-Fitness Goals
-Mandarin: Get back to HSK 5 level of vocabs with Anki again. Concrete goal: Read and understand an entry-level book or Manhua
-Music: I want to get back to practise at least 15 minutes a day, either the bass or the e-guitar, instead of noodling away every few days for hours. I feel like my technique is severely lacking and I suck at playing real music
-Archery: Build up to drawing the bow for at least 30 seconds and get back my old accuracy. Get comfortable with the boar spear again
-Work: Be more consistent with business hours and set good conditions to take up an apprentice. Finish my handcrossbow design and actually build one.
-Etc... Learn to cook. I can only grill meat and fish, make eggs and basically throw random ingredients in a pot and cook with heavy cream. I'd like to change that and want to learn at least five different (and tasty) dishes by heart until 2022 ends

I'm not going to track those rigorously, aside from the exercise and maybe Mandarin and Music related things.

That being said, I wish you all a happy new year and a great 2022. I'm glad that I finally joined the Hive and happy to have met you all. Keep awesome, everyone, see you next year.

Called you *casually* a faggot? Wtf! And you’re going to dinner with this person? Best wishes for that!

Judging is encouraging to me, Anek But yes, the Hive has been nothing but encouraging. I try my best to do the same.
I'm the subject of Rubber duck debugging quite a lot, huma, thanks for reminding me. Sometimes it works for me thinking (or writing) about those things, sometimes talking helps, but telling it to random more-or-less strangers on the internet in a supporting community who might or might not read my ramblings helps pretty well, too. Drives me to actually do something and not seem like a complaining sourpuss all the time.

    Day 323
    Cardio Go Day 4
    35 Mins or Wowing
    KB Swings
    (smooth sailing so far)

Got a visit from Jules' mother in the shop today. She invited me for dinner next week (to talk about the apprenticeship), called me casually a faggot and then wished me a happy new year. I don't get the people here sometimes. Looking forward to the dinner.

I find that 90% of what I need to figure out is basically "within me", so writing it out (or talking to someone about it without them saying much) is quite helping.

Software developers even have a dedicated name (and object) for this.
