Even though I'm doing the Walking challenge, I was actually walk/running it. I was walk/running most of my 5k walkers training as well. I think that due to overtraining, I picked up Runner's knee, so I'm jut taking it a bit easier, avoiding workouts that put any additional strain on my knees. My knees don't hurt as much when walking up/down the stairs after a few days of rest but it's not ideal. I'm using a warm gel (I noticed it feels so much better than the ice gel), I'll get myself knee wraps and I'm going by the feeling. Not a fan of this, I must admit. I fell in love with running and now this. Anyway, it'll get better. (:
I started tracking my calories after a long time and I see that I do make healthier choices and eat a bit less. I figured I might watch my nutrition a bit more carefully since I won't be doing that much running. Also, it's been about 3 weeks since I got my new Garmin smartwatch and I'm very very pleased with it. It's basically the cheapest Forerunner but it does the job well. I think that the Garmin app could be a bit better but I got used to it so all is well.
