    Claymore, Weigh Less - A Knight's Journey

Hello friends! My name is Danzie, and as I'm sure you can already tell by the title, I love puns and swords!

I've always been terrible at keeping journals of any kind but I wanted to carve out a little space in the Hive where I can give updates on my fitness journey every Saturday!

    27/03/21

    CURRENT PROGRAMS:

Hero's Journey/ALL Weapons! - (Daily, with 2-4 daily weapon trainings per day)
    Total Abs (Daily)
    Xpress Tone (Daily)
    1-Minute HIIT (Daily)
Age of Pandora pt. 2 (Chipping away at it when I have extra time at the end of my workout. Been stuck at the Chapter 40 "collect 10,000 scraps" bottleneck for a week now.)

    ALSO DOING:

    Daily Dares! (Daily, obvs lol)
    Themed Weeks! (Daily)

    PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT(S) THIS WEEK:

FIVE MINUTE PLANK! - Busted my ass for a month but I finally got there!
FINISHING KATANA WEEK TODAY! - On to Yoga week next!
HIT THE 1/4 MARK ON HERO'S JOURNEY! - I've loved this program so SO much thus far. It's so much fun!

    THOUGHTS:

    - Feeling really great about maintaining my 15hr/week training schedule (2-2.5 hr/day), no burnout at all!
    - I can't believe that just seven weeks ago I was doing 0hr/week! Darebee has been truly life-changing!
    - Happy with weight and ab training for now - really starting to see and (especially) feel a difference in terms of muscle in my arms, legs, and upper stomach!
    - Thinking about upping cardio/HIIT - fat is coming off slowly, but I feel like I could be pushing myself a bit more. Looking for recommendations, btw!

    Thanks for reading!

    NOTE:

    * Subbed out Pull-Ups for Body Rows for the "Heavy Sword" for the Hero's Journey... still working on being able to do more than half a pull-up *sigh*
** Spaced out the weapon practices so I hit all 15 workouts for all six weapons over the 60 days... but at this rate I will probably get through them well before that, lol!

                PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT(S) THIS WEEK:

DID MY FIRST NEGATIVE PULL-UP! - Hoping to focus more on this area soon, but I gotta get my own pull-up bar because the neighborhood kids have taken up what feels like a full-time residency on the local park monkey bars I was using lol. XD
FINISHED TOTAL ABS! - I noticed quite a difference in core strength by the end and saw some better definition my upper stomach!
FINISHED 1 MINUTE HIIT! - Really great little workouts! I'll totally be going back to these whenever I have a couple minutes left to fill at the end of a workout!
FINISHED YOGA WEEK! - On to Superhero week next!
HIT THE 1/3 MARK ON HERO'S JOURNEY! - Still loving the hell out of it! It's been by far my favorite program on the site! <3
MADE BANANA PEANUT BUTTER ROLLS - Very delicious and filling and the S.O. loved it too! Looking forward trying out more Darebee Recipes! (neilarey - Motion to call them ReciBEES? Hehe...)

                THOUGHTS:

                - DAMN, WHAT A WEEK! 18.5hrs of fitness over the last seven days (either pushing or hitting 3 hours a day) which is a new record for me! It certainly was productive for my Darebee goals, however, my body and mental health are telling me that this was a bit much... 15hr/week training schedule (2-2.5 hr/day), is a much more realistic and sustainable amount for me.

                - Loving the small bit of Avatar I've done so far! I've been eyeing it forever, but only recently did I feel ready to tackle it!

                - Had a really bad self-image week this week, sadly. I know I've made so much progress in 8 weeks, but it never feels like enough. I feel impatient with what I see in the mirror, but between eating 1800cal/day, and all the working out I'm doing, I'm not sure what else I can really DO except be patient? I know I need to focus on all the inches I've lost and the fact that all my clothes are too big for me now, but I HATE HATE HATE that I've GAINED 8 pounds since I started working out 2 months ago. It sucks, and I feel like a failure... like I'm doing everything wrong. Hoping next week is better... *sigh*

                    PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT(S) THIS WEEK:

Hit 60 days of Consecutive Fitness!

                    Finished Superhero Week!

Hit the 1/2 mark on Hero's Journey!

                    Lost 1.8 lbs!

Lost 1/2 an inch off both my waist and hips!

                    THOUGHTS:

                    - 17 hours of fitness this week, but I was running into joint issues after WAY overdoing it last week, so I slowed things down and did a couple recovery fitness days this week. It was annoying to not hit every fitness goal that I wanted to this week, but I'm proud of myself for putting my safety before my ego.

                    - Got through Superhero week, but only just BARELY. I sadly couldn't quite give 1-2 of the workouts 100% because of my knees and elbow, so I think I might tackle it again in a month or two, just so I can say that I really crushed it!

                    - SOOOO excited to finally see the scale go down after two months. It was slowly going UP for seven weeks, but this week? BAM! Down almost two pounds! Just as I was complaining about it last week, too! I have no idea what happened, but I'll take it!

                    - I can't believe I'm only 60 days into my fitness journey! 61+ days ago I was sitting around playing video games for 5-6 hours a day, intensely bored and depressed, and barely leaving the house. I couldn't do a single push-up or run for more than 20 seconds without feeling like I needed to throw up... now I can do 20 decline push-ups in a set and can run around the park like it's nothing! My strength, endurance, and recovery time have improved exponentially, and it's pretty cool to see. All my life I absolutely HATED exercising, but now thanks to Darebee I wake up every day looking forward to it. <3

Seems like you have reached the point where you gained enough muscle to now lose weight. I had a similar experience when I started. Good job

                            THOUGHTS:

                            - The number on the scale is BOOKING it downhill right now and it feels fantastic! Averaging 2lbs a week!

                            - Loving Iron Born and High Gear so far! The former has a really fun and easy setup for the sets, and the latter is just good ol' fashioned cardio! Love it! <3
