        Man, it's been another hot day, impossible to work out at all. What is going on? I could barely go out of the house without the sun burning my sight, and I wasn't looking at it directly. The water was hot to the touch, the heat... oh, the heat...

        I think I drank all the water on the fridge. I did not do anything at all today. I cancelled many things because this weather is just horrible!

          I was very close to injuring myself! Very, very close!

          Due to time, I decided to do my 100 Burpees in Basic Burpees today. I was in between the 10 and the 20 series, when I did the Floor Tap and, at the same time, I sprawled into a Plank. Thing is my left hand wasn't fully touching the ground, and all my weight landed on one finger that twisted and almost broke. It was horrible! I took a small break before finishing up to 20 and then took a 30 second break, thinking whether or not I should continue, and I chose not to. My grip was awful right away, and I was thinking that perhaps it could happen again. I mean, I'm no stranger to trigger fingers, I've already had them before when I spent a lot of time sewing or pinning, and my mom has them too for the same reasons.

          So I'm doing Death by Burpees tomorrow, no doubt. The small breaks on the workout will give me some incentive to slow down, and focus on form. I'm not going to allow that to happen again and risk having a broken finger. Teaching guitar and typing is very difficult with a cast on one hand. Funny enough, it happened on my left hand, the same side in which I broke my elbow when I was a kid.

          Anyway, I spent the entire day doing work of the house, and then nothing... Wrote only a little bit. And I didn't draw the dungeons I did before on a bigger grid!

                Last Monday of the year. Also ticked another Kickboxing day because of the WoD. As soon as I saw it, I was really looking forward to it. Not going to lie, it was slightly difficult to do things on a smaller space, but I did it anyway. I don't think that should be considered Shadowboxing. It felt more like practicing katas instead.

                The knowledge was still in my muscle memory, but I can't recall it. All I know for certain is that I need to go back to it. If not for me, then for Týr and Freyja. It was a huge part of me, and I feel that the medals that I have are pure decoration now. I'm definitely starting over, but after working out with combat, getting into krav magá, kickboxing.... doing 100 Burpees almost daily... I think I can take on the challenge... start over, and go back to the point in which I left off, and scale upwards from it again. I guess I've forgotten that is a way of life.I'm not sure if that will help me to recover my flexibility, though.

                Anyway, I took another pass on Fit December. The DD, the WoD and Super Abs is enough ab workout for the day, and I don't want extra. I wanted combat today! And I've got combat!

                Not so much everything else, though... At least I got some writing done, albeit slightly forced. Maybe I should consider it a break day.

                  There was no time to do anything today. Slightly busy morning, and what was supposed to be a quick afternoon, it turned out to be longer than I expected. I came home after dark, and that's when I could finally do Punch Out! So, no Burpees, no workouts not even the night routine. I had to cancel that at a short notice because I have to wake up very early tomorrow.

                  And instead of writing, I spent more time reading about the gods, and researching some other crops that I'd like to plant. I bought a red onion, and I would like to buy a big head of garlic and plant the best cloves while the others grow. I also would like to get a white onion, and at least one strawberry from which I could get the seeds. I'm also interested in reproducing the spearmint and rosemary we have, and find out why our queen of the night isn't blooming. We cut a couple of leaves from it and planted it at the community center, and both actually grew, so perhaps that might be it. Or maybe the pot doesn't have the space she needs to bloom once again. I'm really looking forward to see it bloom once again; it would always bloom around my birthday. Besides, it's my favorite flower! It's, definitely, by far, the most beautiful flower I've ever seen in my life.

                  There is also some interest in planting oregano. At the community center, the agricultural engineer is making an attempt to grow it. It's a wild plant; it grows quite a lot on the wild on a town very close to my father's hometown. I remember my uncle getting a ton of oregano and actually planting it himself at his house. The planting technique seems to be very similar to the anisillo, though.

                  Anyway, I'm actually pretty excited about the onion. It's time for planting too now anyway. Although the moon calendar for 2022 seems a bit confusing. Just May alone has two new moons, and I'm just starting to pay more attention to other moon phases rather than just crescent moon.

                    Another busy day, but it wasn't as busy as yesterday. And tomorrow will not fare better. Only New Year's Eve will be slightly free.

                    But tomorrow I'm going to train outside, early morning. Meaning, I'm going to wrtie something quick right now, and then straight to bed.

                    Partial night routine was done today. Burpees had to be cancelled at the last minute, though. It's been a while since the last time I did Easy Abs. I remember having to do them daily on HIIT (20 seconds per exercise; 1 minute rest) so it would be harder. Then, I knew Masterpack existed thanks to the WoD feature.

                      No posting last night because I just wanted to take a break from everything! I woke up very early in the morning, walked quite a lot, and did the 100 Burpees outside the house. Then I came home and slept through the entire morning again. Wrote as much as I could, and left... until very late at night.

                      But it was worth it.

                      We managed to bake Pan de Jamón before the year ended, and it was better than last year. And I also played a random dungeon with my friend to test out our characters while we waited.

                      Night routine was killed, but I don't care. I'll see if I can end the year with a bang today.

                      The Punch Out! challenge was completed, though! Only one day of Fit December remains, and first thing on January is Fireheart, again. I'll see how I'll fit 30 Days of Gravity.

                      And, since I went out on the morning, I figured I could use the Pull-up bar and do a Dead Lift to failure. Lasted for 10 seconds. No more sets because my skin screams while I hold the bar. I need wraps.

                              Considerations for 2022:

                              - Reduce the load on both morning and night routines. Yoga (in the form of Five Rites and Surya/Chandra Namaskar) is mandatory, as well as The Right Side + 10 Decline Push-ups. I'm putting a halt to the triceps workouts and the ab workouts. I'm not quitting them, I'm just going to do them on another time, and I won't make them mandatory. Aside from Arm Lift and Triceps (with reps doubled), I'm adding Biceps & Triceps to the list. It depends on how the days goes that I'll do it. For abs, I'm sticking with Crop Top, Super Abs and Masterpack at LVL III +EC. I'm reducing the time to 1 minute for a Decline Elbow Plank, as my form suffers after the minute.

                              - I must fix my sleeping schedule so I can go out on early mornings and walk... possibly even pick up running once again, probably on February. That'll be a good way to start the day, plus I can kill the 100 Burpees in the morning, and practice combat outside, where I have much more space to work with. I already experimented with it yesterday, and I think it's great. I just need to fix my sleeping schedule to do so.

                              - This also means I can get into more advanced combatives from Kickboxing and Krav Magá, and perhaps I'll have the help of someone. Not only that, but this also sets the foundation for me to come back to Karate, something that I'm looking forward to do in 2022.

                              - There is also the desire to incorporate a stick to my training. I'll be researching Kali and practice the basics.

                              - Since I'll be taking the training outside this year, then perhaps I have an excuse to hit up the Pull-up Bars outside and start building them up. I already did a Dead Hang on the morning, and despite the fact that I did not enjoy it at all, I'm going to make it so that I'll conquer it, the same I did with Burpees.

                              - Dancing should make a comeback, but I don't want to limit myself just to belly dance. I want to have some fun with it too.

                              What about the non-fitness related things?

                              - It's time to... "stop" writing. This year should be the year of publishing.

                              - NaNoWriMo 2022 is... something that I'm very excited for, and at the same time, I don't know if I'll make it or not. If I can't do it on November, I'll do it before November. That series should finish, and if all goes well, then half of the first drafts from that series will be done!

                              - James Scott Bell, in one of his books, wrote about three exercises: Nifty 350, Furious 500, Nightcap 200. All of them consist in writing that amount of words every day, at certain points of the day. 350 or 500 words right after waking up; or instead, 350 words after waking up and 500 words before the writing session. Then, 200 words before bed. The texts can be anything, whether it is related to the WIP or not. The amount of words is very low (Nifty 350 = one page and around a half, Furious 500 = two pages, Nightcap 200 = slightly less than one page), so there's no excuse. I can do it on my phone, or even on a notebook.

                              - I'm going back to basics with drawing too. At least a simple lesson every day would do. InkScape and Pixel Art will still remain in place, as they are my only methods (for now) to do digital drawing.

                              - I want to get into animation through the use of flipbooks on traditional art, and rotoscope through digital media; more specifically, pixel art. Pixel art as a form of film is also viable. There's tons of animated shorts that are done through pixel art.

                              - As for music, I should just keep playing the piano and the guitar. I might get a hand on singing, but that's mostly for voice training, something that I should have been doing since a few years ago.
