    And Happy New Year bees!

    I woke up too early this morning, made it to nap time and then all the sounds decided they needed to happen during my nap window. So I got up grumpy, put on some 90s/00s alt-metal, got started with today's Gravity workout and felt a zillion times better almost immediately. Yay exercise.

                🏃‍♀️ I ran beyond the the 8 weeks to 5k workout for today since since four minutes of running didn't really feel satisfying. Mostly I want to re-establish the habit of making sure I get out of the house in the morning.

                🧘‍♀️ I've been doing the meditations in 30 Days of Yoga even if I've already meditated, and I'm finding that I like a little quiet wind-down time after a workout.

                💻 I'm not sure how seriously I'll track this, but I'm going to experiment with a No Screens After Dinner rule. We don't even own a television, so this mostly applies to phone and laptop.

                  I finished Gravity! I really enjoyed it, and I've noticed I feel stronger doing everyday things like biking, running, walking, and lifting the cast iron dutch oven.

                            I woke up too early again. 3 am this time, which isn't as bad as 2 am, but too little sleep and I lose sense of time.

                            I've started trying to time my morning walks/runs with sunrise because a) it's pretty and b) I need some kind of deadline. Today Citizen Cope's Son's Gonna Rise came on while I was running, which made me start thinking about trying to time my run so that sunrise happens a mile after my start time.

                                Joe76 Me too! I think that's part of the reason why I sometimes wake up too early. It's more time I get to be awake before the rest of the world. Tempting but ultimately counter productive.
