So i have been slacking lately been really down about some things and kind of fell off my drinking and workout wagon and so im kind of beating myself up over it. I guess when your depressed you fall back into some old habits that made you feel good, however I did get up and worked out today which is good but in my eyes not good enough so i have decided for the rest of the month im going to do daily workouts but im going to restart Foundation on the 1 of Feb. that way I can go the full 30 without missing a day so until then its daily work. I fought hard to get to where im at now and im not about to screw this up now its go hard or go home...wait is that another hashtag #GoHardOrGoHome LOL

Back at it and going hard, added some new supplements with doctor approval and feeling good. Sometimes you got to fall to get back up, but here I am at it again and going hard.and feeling good about myself to.

Staying with it.This was and is the mind set I need to be in, not feeling down on myself but feeling like I can and WILL do it. There will be ups and downs but its when im up that i feel my best and that's what is most important i needed to just look over at my son to remind me why i started this in the first place.Hes a good motivater and even though hes six he tries to workout with me sometimes...though the Xbox usually wins over fitness LOL

So need a little advice. I am having trouble doing crunches. I can tighten my core and when i go to lift I can barely get my shoulders off the ground. Any advice on how to improve this or another movement I can do to help build my strength in that area? Thanks everyone

Honestly, I think you should check out the challenge that's currently on the front page: Easy Abs. It should help with that in the long run, and remember that all of this is about the long run.
You also might want to check out any of the exercises in the top row of this Abs Exercise chart. Strengthening any of your core muscles will help with crunches.

And, really, do the crunches you can do. They will get easier.

That is excellent advice, that I should follow.
Maybe look at the back and core program when you have some extra time?

Do you mean "knees to elbow" like the first exercise that Fremen linked to? I also call them steam engine's. I like that exercise a lot. I find it to be a very cardio exercise, but it does work your abs.

Evil Elvis I was referring to the whole workout which is a great way to train abs without ever going to the ground and avoiding most back problems
