    What kind of modifications do you make for your knees with weight training? Personally for lunges I almost never do forward lunges since they are so harsh on the joints and backward lunges are the same movement with more stability, especially with weights.

      Lady_Nicholson like you said, backward lunges and for the rest of them I do a similar movement but standing up. 4 exam, the squats- holding the dumbbells then slow marching steps. Side lunges- leg lifts. Today I added ankle weights.

            Colin it's great as short cardio w.o. or a warm up if I only do 3 sets. If I don't have time or energy for something longer it closes that "I exercised today" corner pretty nicely.

              I walked, at least I can say that. Well I'll probably workout more seriously tonight but if not (I'm planning to make a sort of pizza) at least I walked for nearly 3K's.

              The last day was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I'm trying to catch up with work so that's stressful and last night National Memorial Day started and I talked to a friend who lost one of team mates when their tank was hit in a war in 2006 - that was rough to even hear about. I got to the office this morning and thankfully a lot of people aren't working today at all so, less pressure and we got to around lunch time and I asked someone who sits next to me if she's taking her lunch break now and she was like "you do know we're all going home in 15 minutes right?" So with all the sadness and stuff, that actually cheered me up... 3 and a HALF, days, weekend. the weather is cool and sunny (until tomorrow when it'll turn HOT) so my way home was easy. I bought and ate chocolate ice-cream - I haven't done that in months. In fact I didn't eat chocolate for the past two weeks which is a personal best.

              I'll make independence day pizza and try to earn it. Tomorrow I plan to do a lot of micro-Workouts, I hope I won't let myself down regarding this.

                              Thank you CODawn Anek Whirly Colin DorothyMH I started watching Sisyphus - a Korean futuristic-ish drama today. It's great but it has 16 episodes, if I'm not careful I'll get sucked into it and won't be able to do anything else or put my mind into anything else until I'm finished with it... and probably a few days after. Depends on the ending I guess.
                              Day 8 of 1 minute HIIT this morning and not much else.

                                A Short Workout Adventure

                                The morning is stifling hot and the sensation of sweating in your bed under a thick duvet makes you irritated. Last night was still chilly and a thick blanket seemed like a good idea but now after waking you up at least two hours earlier than you intended to, it makes you want to punch someone. Why did I even agree to do this, you ask yourself. Guarding a cabin in the middle of the woods for free while on holiday can seem great, if you like being outside. Not for me, last time I'm ever leaving the city, you promise yourself.
                                You waddle to the bathroom and turn the tap open. The waters make a really strange and scary sound this morning... You turn the tap off but still hear the sound, it's getting louder. You look around but the sound is definitely coming from the tap. Suddenly a blueish grey vapor runs from it, still making that sound. It fills the little room and takes on a humanoid form. You stare on, amazed and then it smiles, to reveal rows of non vapor like fangs. Without delaying any further you turn around and run outside...

                                The forest outside the cabin makes it hard to advance so you run, duck and jump as fast and as best as you can, not looking behind you

                                if you exceeded the time given for breaks or took breaks during the sets, you lost - game over
                                if you completed the workout at:
                                level 1- The water demon got you - game over.
                                level 2- You fall down a hole and slide through a tunnel that leads you to an underground village, there you take your time and spy on the locals to figure out what you should do next
