    Well, hi there. I've decided to make something of Darebee and am starting off real gentle with Foundation Light (taking 2-3 exercises a day if I feel up to it) and will then move to Foundation, also in 2s or 3s. Fitness level is OK but I've tended to do bursts of training (like I'll sit around all week and then go for a 10 K run on Sunday) so I'm changing to daily, daily, daily to get fitness permanently better. Coming up to 50 next year and having beaten cancer (thyroid in 2017, so far so good...) I'm interested in maximising my general fitness much more than anything else.

    I'll post progress on Foundation Light (then Foundation) and then move on to one of the more exciting programmes.

    Update: I should note I'm on Day 10 of FL already. I'll post onwards from there.

        Welcome to the Hive, and also, the beating of cancer. I know several folks who had thyroid CA at about that time...musta been in the water
        Foundation Light is a great place to start; keep posting!!

          Hi Dorothy, Thanks for the kind words. Yes, my Dad had the same cancer just a year or two prior. It's a weird one, since it's a mix of genetic and environmental: you can't really increase your risk by smoking, etc. Anyway, free of it all so far, and hoping forever.

          Oh, and. Day 11 + 12 done yesterday. Trying for another double (13+14) today.

            Just checking in, Day 13 done yesterday, level III. I should also note I have problems with a L5-S1 Degenerative Disc, so I need to proceed carefully (also a reason why I'm not doing TKD right now, if ever again). Usefully, it gets worse if you do not exercise at all, so it kind of forces you to keep moving... Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

              OK, Day 14 complete, level III. Did it, as often with exercises involving arms, with a pair of 1 kg dumbbells. Just adds a bit more power. Garmin watch verdict: 1.3 aerobic benefit. Not bad for a quick session.

                        Day 16 done. Level III. By mistake, thought 5 sets was Level II.
                        I'll add my punches here as well.
                        I always warm up with:
                        - 100 jumping jacks
                        - 100 punches (new, as of today)
                        (That gets 25 calories done automatically...)
