Howdy buddy, welcome to the hive!

One step at a time, you wouldn't believe how far you can reach with that pace. Really hope for you to keep on going, you made a pretty neat start there. Good luck in your journey!

    Slow and Steady

After working on my first program (Baseline) for 28 days, I thought I would finally join. I just turned 56 on Saturday, and I've been fighting injuries to my Achilles for about 3 years, finally had surgery, and I've been trying to regain my fitness since then.

I have been a walker all my life and was sidelined by Achilles problems and put on a lot of weight and lost a lot of fitness. I have been back to walking about 20 miles a week.I started with Baseline because I have a tendency to push too hard too fast and then quit, you know, because it's too hard. I'm old, fat, and out of shape so I'm sticking with the lightest of light programs and steady walking until I feel I can really kick butt.

I am doing intermittent fasting, but I'm not very strict about it. I've lost almost 30 pounds since the beginning of December. I am not concerned with getting down to a certain weight; I just want to be a little lighter to move more easily. At 56, post-menopausal with a slowed metabolism, I'm giving myself a break.

Today I did Day 28 of Baseline at Lev I with 1 minute rests, and walked 2 miles at an average pace of 17/mi, using intervals.
