Thx, the vacation was really great. Of course, as always, i wish it would have been longer
But now i'm back and trying to get back onto the working-out-wagon

Today i started by continuing the High Gear Program, i did day 22 on level 1.

Have a good start into the week!

Today i did a nice slow jog of 6.35km to get things moving.

In the neighboring town they build a small calisthenics park. Today i visited it with my daughter.
We played around with some stuff.
        I did
        3 x 10 romian chair knee raises
        4, 3, 3 pullups
        8, 6, 6, horizontal-ish rows

My quads are a bit sore from the jogging yesterday. I take it as a sign that i obviously did not enough running lately.

I ordered a new pair of road/asphalt running shoes. Basically the same brand/model as my previous ones but a newer model. They arrived yesterday and fit well so i think they won't let me down.
Next weekend is the half-marathon event i registered for. But i'm pretty sure that i won't run the full distance since my training level is not adequate. I think a half-half-marathon should be enough this time. If everything works out perfectly i might do another lap and end up at 15-ish km, but that is to see.

Today another short visit to the small calesthenics park in the neighboring town. Did 5,4,3,2,2 chinups. I should use it more often. Have a jog to it, work out, jog back etc.
I really enjoy/celebrate that they put up such places/parks. Make it easy for the folks to work out (maintenance for the machine).

Besides this, my life now slips back into the "when shit hits the fan"-mode (again). My dad is more severe sick than i anticipated and i guess on monday things will start to quickly escalate / take their way.

But let's keep our heads up bees, stay strong and buzzing!

Sorry about your dad, a sick parent is not an easy situation.

Things now got serious before monday. I will spare you any deep details. On sunday evening we called the ambulance. He is now in hospital and safe and will have surgery tomorrow.
The very sad story is that basically all of this could have been avoided if he went to the doctor earlier and took advices more seriously. Some conditions cannot be sat out, some things don't miraculously heal themselves.

So the sports sections is basically a side note: ~30km cycling on sunday (before the ambulance event)
