              SheWhoMustNotBeNamed Merry Christmas!!

Thursday, December 16: Had the bright idea to finally move out a shelf that had been a little off kilter, thinking it would be an easy fix. Nope. Turns out the base was crumbling for whatever reason and there was no way to salvage it. Emergency trip to get a new shelf because that one was also where I keep my fan. Can’t sleep with no air! A little frustrating to put together. I was so done by the end of it.

Friday, December 17: Due to the shelf fiasco, I had to sweep and mop the floors on Friday instead of on Thursday. My back was hurting by the end of it. Got word around 4 o’clock in the afternoon that my aunt had passed, and on her oldest grandson’s birthday. I was mentally prepared for it, given the circumstances. I’m more frustrated and angry than anything else because of peoples’ stances with vaccines even after all this crap. It still hasn’t fully set it yet. I do get brief moments of anxiety that I have managed to distract myself from (I’m literally still in my Monkees rabbit hole, but it is helping to keep me sane). My aunt’s two sons work where my dad does, and everyone knows that he is their uncle by marriage. Dad found out about my aunt through a company email. I don’t appreciate that.

Saturday, December 18: Tried to keep busy with the snowball fight.

Sunday, December 19: Too hectic of a day for the snowball fight. Kind of let my frustrations get the best of me.

Monday, December 20: Mom and I got our booster shots! My sister gave it to us! My left arm was already feeling a little sore before we got the shots. I’d been debating which arm would be best, and I was afraid getting the shot in the sore arm would make it worse. Ended up keeping it in the sore arm. It pinched when sis gave me the shot. I actually winced because I wasn’t expecting that much of a pinch. Took it easy for the rest of the day, but it was laundry day so I did have to deal with that. Ended up falling asleep before the laundry was done. Arm felt a little more sore by the end of the day.

Tuesday, December 21: Dad surprised us by actually volunteering to get his booster shot. He actually volunteered Monday, when mom and I were talking about getting ours, but he couldn’t get away from work during his lunch hour. So he got it Tuesday, as well as his flu shot. Mom usually has to force him to get his shots when it’s time, so it was definitely a shock when he said he was getting one. My sister gave him his shot, too. My arm was a little bit more sore, but not terribly so, my right arm also ended up hurting. I don’t know how.

Wednesday, December 22: Last minute trip to the grocery store to pick up some items for Christmas snacking. There were some things we didn’t want to get too early because they don’t hold up very long. Ended up getting a snowball toss game that we figured we could play when everyone was here for Christmas. I put it together and tested it out. The dogs had fun with it, too. Ringo was interacting with it the whole time, so he quickly learned where the balls were going. Fonzie had been sleeping next to my aunt. When he finally woke up, he was snapping to try to catch the snowballs. Literally only his mouth was moving, and he wasn’t even near it . I let him kind of play, too. He couldn’t figure out where they were going. Of course, we do have to chase after balls when the dogs still them, but it gets us moving.

Thursday, December 22: I don’t even remember what went on, and this was yesterday.

Friday, December 23: Pie making (pumpkin and peanut butter)! Dad’s off work, so there are some frustrations there. He’s high strung. I showed him the snowball game, he tested it out. Ringo took off with a ball without us catching. We are now down a snowball, the little jerk chicken.

Christmas Eve night, while trying to go to sleep, my dogs started grumbling with each other. I said, “Kids,” and the light on my freaking mirror turned on. I was telling my nephew about it. He asked, “Which cousin?”* I should have said I didn’t see a reflection. The mirror also turned on last night. I have no idea what is causing it to turn on.

*I was able to go pretty far back on my mom’s side of the family tree. Because of that, we’ve found a lot of famous people we are distantly related to. We talk about our famous cousins as a running joke. I don’t know how I was supposed to be able to tell which cousin is turning on my mirror .

My sister got me a Wizard of Oz diamond painting! My aunt actually got me one a while back as well. Thankfully, they’re different! I have so many to do. I’ve got to pick it up again. Hopefully it won’t hurt my back when I do.

I gave my sister the box I painted for her. I’ll have to post pictures later. I also bought her a crackle Himalayan salt light. I’ll probably post a picture of that later, too. I have one that was meant for her when I bought it, but I liked it so much. So now we have matching lights.

Hope everyone who celebrates enjoyed their Christmas!

My mom saw a journal on both my brother's and sister's wishlists and had to get both. So now they have matching journals! Good thing they don't live together!

Glad you had a good Christmas!
