    JCU Thank you!

    I was scared to try it. I’d quickly discovered I prefer spicy hummus, because I’m not too crazy about the chickpea taste. I saw a pumpkin spice one a few years back and was too scared that it wouldn’t cover it well. Then I found the chocolate one and decided to try it. Never found that specific pumpkin spice again, so I was happy to find this one! Hope you like sweet hummus when you try it!

          Well, my (unvaccinated) aunt, who doesn’t live with us, is now in the hospital with COVID.

          Almost forgot to do some stretching. I chose Better Balance, which is listed as a stretching workout, but it felt more like strength training. Still light and easy.

                      I spent all day reading and stayed up way too late finishing my book, so I didn’t do a whole lot else. I did make sure to do a stretch workout and continue with my language learning.

                      It’s a little colder out, so Fonzie came in from a potty break whining from the cold. I held him in a blanket to warm him up and he completely milked it. He kept whining and snuggling into my shoulder, even dramatically laying his head on my shoulder a few times. But not even five minutes later, two of the other dogs got in trouble and he had to go “handle” it. He may love being babied, but he’s still the boss .

                        Liam is almost the complete opposite! He whines and bats with his paws, puts his chin on whatever he can reach, and gives eyes to be let out when it's cold. If there's snow? Oh, boy!

                          JCU He’s gone out in the snow before and was fine, but Fonzie and his brother just don’t like to be cold. His brother, Ringo, refuses to sit right on the floor! We also have a dog who will run through the snow like it’s nothing. Fonzie also doesn’t like getting his feet wet. He has gone out into the puddles or the wet yard when he doesn’t think about it, but usually if he happens to step in it (he has a little bit of trouble seeing certain things) he will yank his foot out of there so fast!

                              So I had another reading hangover... I had to take breakthrough pills but I was so tired yesterday. I only managed some very light stretching (quick side bends and a forward fold).

                              I’ve had a foil engraving kit for years and broke it out while most everyone went to the memorial. It’s a pain in the butt, but so pretty, and I picked up a frame for it yesterday. I also got some plastic storage bins to replace the storage cubes my cats so kindly tore up. I did not see the lady scan the bins yet, just the picture frame, and the total was saying $18. My mom told me she didn’t see her scan the bins either. I had a mini heart attack because I did not see anything in the frames that cost that much. I asked her about it and she told me she scanned the bins. I tried to explain that I didn’t see her scan them. After I checked out she showed me that the bins cost $7. That wasn’t the issue, but thank you .

                                Felt kind of sick on Monday so skipped stretching. Then I just got lazy .

                                Fonzie was an absolute turd! He’s wall-eyed, though his eyes are now more centered than they used to be. Because of this, he has a little trouble with seeing small things, especially if the colors don’t contrast well. He likes to knock some food out of the bowl and on the floor to eat it, which takes him forever, so I usually dump some out on the floor for him. Well, he got the bright idea to get up on the futon and whine for food. I finally gave up and brought him some. He wouldn’t eat it, just sat there whining instead. Eventually I got frustrated and brought him back over to me. He marches down the stairs where I was sitting, goes over to the futon, stands up so he can reach, ad starts eating the food pieces that were close enough to the edge. My brother ended up moving the rest closer. Then he demanded more! He would rather make it so difficult for himself .

                                I’m taking a different approach when it comes to my writing. In an online course I was taking (and I’m still in the middle of) they talked about “diffuse mode” where you let your mind run. So I’m trying to just get words down and not edit as I write (easy in theory, hard in practice!) and edit later. So far I’ve been able to do that three days in a row, but I’m not going to say my writer’s block is over yet.

                                Then in my aunt informed me they heard Mike Nesmith died. Now I’m down to only one Monkee ! In regards to the show, he was my favorite Monkee. The sarcasm his character had! I think back in 2016, I used to check on my remaining Monkees and Beatles often.
