              I have named my skeletons! From left to right on that picture is Amelia Scarehart, Grace Skelly, and Scarilyn Monroe. I wanted to make them all female (you know, because of the whole “mother” thing ) but It was so hard to pass up Humphrey Bone-gart! I didn’t come up with these names. I found them online.

              Mom had to go to her doctor a week early. Her ankle was getting infected. She had those internal stitches that are supposed to dissolve, but turns out the weren’t and were all getting infected. They removed most of them and gave her antibiotics. And now she’s in a brace instead of the boot.

                        I’m not a fan of Wednesdays much anymore. We have a standing lunch date with my aunts and honestly it’s so exhausting. People are so picky, and I used to be the really picky one. It’s hard to find a new place to go because one doesn’t like Italian, one doesn’t like seafood, one refuses to go to a burger place because you can make burgers at home, even though she loves country cooking restaurants because it’s “home cooking”. Doesn’t make sense to me. It’s becoming a hassle, and if my mom was completely healed, I would just stay home. The trouble this week? Picking a Mexican restaurant. One aunt wanted to go to one that was further out and one wanted to go to one closer that the previous aunt all of a sudden doesn’t care for. She’d rather go to the same one over and over, even though she complained about having the same restaurants for lunch at her job. Somehow it makes sense for her to do the same to us. And all the restaurants we discussed TASTE THE SAME!

                        There’s so many of us, we have to take separate cars. Usually, the car I’m in gets to the restaurant first. And we wait for the others. This time they somehow got there first. Did they wait? Absolutely not. They got seated in the very back of the restaurant, knowing my mom is still recovering from a broken ankle and one of my aunts has trouble walking. None of them opened their mouths to ask for a closer table, which was possible. We were given an option we walked in to have a closer table, but mom was too nice and said since everyone else was already seated we’d just sit where they were.

                        My little cousin had left some books in my aunts car, so mom and I read all three off them. Separately, of course. We also got some beautiful glitter dream catcher tattoos from the restaurant. So I guess it wasn’t a total bust.

                          Quick shopping trip. We’d hoped to find a late birthday gift for my sister (it’s been a rough month, y’all) but didn’t find anything good. I have a couple of craft projects I want to do. Didn’t find the supplies, though. So hopefully I find them this weekend. We did get candy just in case we get trick or treaters this year. We didn’t get any last year due to the pandemic and the fact that our neighborhood had no power for eleven days.

                                Got some watercolor brush pens in the mail that mom ordered for me. There’s three different sets and 21 colors total, but I think some of them might be repeats. It should be fun to mess with, though. But I’m a little nervous. I think the only time I really worked with watercolor paint (not counting when I was an ankle biter) was my senior year in high school. And I had bad senioritis and didn’t even want to be in that class. Of most of my classes... Anyway, I’ve got to figure out how I go about sketching out my paintings.
