      JCU My first experience with The Ring was when I was a lot younger. Just to kind of explain things here: I’m the baby of the family, out of my siblings and first cousins, on both sides. My sister is 12-13 years older than me, depending on the month. I have a cousin who is just 9 months older than me and another one two years older. They’re the only ones close to my age. Other than those two, my youngest cousins are 6 and 9 years older than me on my dad’s and mom’s sides respectively. The cousins who lived in the same state as me are quite a bit older, so I was raised around adults. So were my two youngest cousins. The one that’s 9 months older came down to stay with us for a few weeks. We watched Scary Movie 3 with my family when I was around 8 or 9, and I think I had seen it maybe one time before that. I also “watched” The Ring with my cousin (pretty much was just in the room with her while she watched it because she could handle scary movies a lot better than I could. This was also something I did with my sister when she was watching Scream). All this text to essentially say that it wasn’t like our families were saying, “hey, lets just let the littles watch scary movies,” but we were just around older people who watched them.

      But anyway, I do not like that little girl in either Scary Movie 3 or The Ring. Just no. And I also didn’t like the whole “Michael Jackson” part of Scary Movie 3. I don’t know how long it took me before I stopped having someone check the “lumps” in the bed where the sheets were bunched up. I was terrified of there being a person under them. I don’t know why that part stuck with me so much.

      I’ve had dogs all my life and the majority of them have been chihuahuas. Not sure how much help they’d be . Plus, I was around older kids once (who I did not know) who told that “The Licked Hand” storyline. Another one that stuck with me.

        DorothyMH I think there’s some Stephen King movies that I might be able to watch. Probably not It. Argued with my nephew once because he thinks all clowns are scary and I said it depends on the context. A clown where there’s supposed to be a clown is fine. A random clown when there is no reason for a clown? Big ol’ nope. That movie falls in the last category . Though I eventually want to read some of his books, including It.

            I got a headache in the late afternoon and felt a little nauseous. I took my breakthrough meds and tried to nap for a little bit while I let it work. I left the door partially open and Ringo, who doesn’t really like “new” things, decided I was new and started sort of barking at me. I sat up and it scared the crap out of him. He was fine; he started wagging his tail immediately after he realized it was me. Tried to lay back down again and my package arrived in the mail. Thankfully by that time, the medicine worked.

            But my package. I really do not like ordering things online. I’ll do it, but I prefer to by it in person. There were a few things I really wanted that the store didn’t have, so... I’m not really the most patient person in the world but I can manage. Just... I don’t understand the logic of my shipment coming to my state, then begin shipping to the state next to me, and then back to me. I’m sure there’s some logic in there. I’m just not seeing it . Anyway, it finally shows up and two of the things I really wanted showed up broken! I contacted them by email and now I have to wait for a response.

                That’s sure maddening. We don’t experience it often, but when we do, my husband gets MAD. It’s always such a dog and pony show to get it handled…grrr

                  DorothyMH This is the first time it’s happened to me. I don’t think it’s ever happened to my parents, but I know my dad would get so mad if it happened. There’d be phone calls and yelling unless my mom got to it first when he wasn’t home. So far getting it handled seems like a pretty easy task.

                    I got a pretty quick response back. I sent the email around 3 p.m. on Saturday and got a response before noon on Sunday. I was given the option of getting a replacement order for those two items or a refund. I said if they happened to have those two specific styles in stock, then I’d take a replacement but if not a refund would be fine. They’re clean breaks, so if it comes down to it gluing it back together should be easy. They put in the replacement order, I got a confirmation email for it, and it’s still being processed. Pretty pain free! We’ll see if it gets here safely this time.

                    Came home from shopping and we heard an ice cream truck. My sister asked if anyone else thought it was kind of creepy, like the truck driver would kill you or something. I said, “Oh, so you’re morbid, too.” She said she watched too much Law & Order . Well, I had that mind before, thank you very much .

                    Got new colored pencils (a pack of 100 and a colors of the world pack), plus I still have older ones, so I should be stocked up and ready for coloring meditation!

                    I was also super tired and hadn’t done my exercises yet. I did them while getting ready for bed. Multi-tasking at its finest. And there’s nothing like doing arm exercises in front of a mirror to let you know how much your arms need to be toned.

                      Love your updates. I ordered something online from the States that took a month to get here. No fun when you have to futz around with orders.

                          I’m going to have to add 4 extra squats today because I miscounted yesterday.

                          This doesn’t have anything to do with Monday’s activities, but I need to vent right now. I’m so sick of people, especially people who get their false “information” off of Facebook, who think they know better than doctors, and even worse act like they don’t put other people at risk. You know, it’s not like this specific person was the one who brought home TWO viruses to our household or anything... Definitely not... Oh, how I wish my punching bag was set up!
