    No soreness in my leg, but I didn’t get much sleep. So I was tired all day. I felt nauseous after the bike ride, but I think i just needed to eat something because I felt water after breakfast.

        CODawn The only time I do is when we bike, since we go so early. We pretty much get up, get dressed, and go. Sometimes I manage to drink all my lemon water before we go, sometimes not.

              CODawn I guess it depends on your definition of writing a novel. I have a lot of ideas that I’ve written down and I’ve written excerpts of a few of them. I (unofficially) participated in NaNoWriMo in 2019, wrote a decent amount, then got writer’s block. I’ve been blocked ever since and I’ve been trying to start a writing habit again.

                    We watched Superstar: John Ritter! Tears were shed. It’s been so long since he passed and it’s still incredibly sad for my family (we’re all fans of his). And then I got to watch Robin Williams on SVU! Horrible character he played, but it’s so hard not to be happy when watching John or Robin. I was young when John passed, so I remember being sad but not much about how I reacted. We did record his final episode of 8 Simple Rules on VHS. But Robin’s death? Hit me hard. Why do the good ones have to go so soon?

                    And speaking of SVU, that episode had the wonderful line about someone dying when their car hit a semi trailer and took off its roof. Really people? Was this run by Mariska first?


                    I felt off pretty much all day. My head felt fuzzy and I felt nauseous, something that’s become relatively normal this past year. I tried to eat because I know when I get like that, it makes me feel better. This time it didn’t work. My nausea got so much worse. I was hoping my stomach would settle enough that I could make me some tea without having to struggle through it. That didn’t happen. I’m out sick. Thankfully, I managed to get my minimum active minutes in before all this hit, but tomorrow might be a different story. Which is fine. I just want this to end soon!

                    My lovely animals, though. I thought they were supposed to sense when you don’t feel good. These children. I love them so much, but sometimes I have to remind myself of it. Fonzie doesn’t like to leave my side for anything, and I had to get my brother to take him out after I went upstairs to lay down. I’d already had trouble with him when we first went up there because he was barking at the cat. Cat slapped him, I had to sit up to untangle her claw from his shirt. It was not pleasant. Then my brother lets Rolo into my room. He kept trying to run from me, so I was constantly sitting up trying to get him, and that was not a pleasant experience either. Finally get him and Fonzie is a jerk. I mean he’s pouncing on him and biting his legs. This baby was someone in another life. I’m just not sure who yet. I mean, he did answer to Capone once when he was going around grabbing the other dogs by the legs. Anyways, I’m trying to stop this but he doesn’t quit. So they’re constantly in a growling match. Gator wants to come snuggle, which sets them all off again. I gave up on trying to sleep at this point. I didn’t take my meds because I didn’t think I would be able to, and it’s kind of like Russian roulette whether this will contribute to me being sick or not.

                      All the sympathies! I hope you feel better soon! I'm so sorry to hear about your animal troubles. Liam can be a good boy when I'm sick, but he can also be incredibly needy. Is he trying to help? Who knows! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

                        JCU Thank you! I’m feeling better this morning, but I’m very shaky and weak. That should improve with hydration and food.

                        Fonzie got sick not too long after we first got him. He was itty bitty, miserable, and whining all the time. I held him a lot, which is why he is super attached to me now. Big mistake I made . But I gave him love and cuddles while he was sick. This little turkey has even, when he got older, jumped into my lap, got sick on me, and jumped back off. He’s done that at least 3 times! And I still pick up the little brat and love on him. Where’s my care? All I’m asking is for one little kiss, dang it!

                        I do think they try to help in their own way, however misguided that may be. But I honestly believe he knows I’m not feeling great and he decided that means he could be absolutely horrible. He’s so lucky he’s cute.

                          I entirely agree! Whenever Liam gets aggressive over something stupid (vomit, shoes, toilet paper) I repeat in my head, 'you're lucky you're cute, kid'! Sometimes it's out loud, even!

                          Almost always, when I ask for kisses, he either turns his head or just gives me this baffled look. But if I've eaten something he thinks smells good? All over me!

                            JCU I say it out loud all the time! The thing is they know they’re cute!

                            There’s also times when he’s so ornery that all I can say is I love my cats. They’re ornery, too (runs in our family ), but at least it’s more subdued with them.
