    Very sluggish day. I didn’t feel like doing much of anything.

    Kickboxing: I NEEDED THAT!! Truthfully, I needed more than just 12 minutes worth, but I was too tired. The only reason I did this at all was because I really needed the punches and kicks. I liked having the instruction about the moves and how to execute them. Still a struggle, and definitely a brain workout, but it was FUN! The only thing missing was something to hit.

    We have a patch of clover due to birdseed, and we usually have a bunch of bees pollinating. Occasionally, we’ll have butterflies. Yesterday I saw at least four pretty orange butterflies! It was hard to count because they kept flying around but there were definitely four different ones. And I almost missed it because the way it sat on the flowers, but there was a yellow and white one, too! So pretty. Really a bright spot in an otherwise off day.

    I know exercise is good for you and it’s supposed to help with mental health, but I feel like my depression is worse. Not worse in the severity of it, but just how often I feel down. Same with my anxiety.

            I hear ya about the depression and anxiety being more frequent. Covid resurgence isnt helping that🙄😵‍💫 Keep on keeping on, tho; you’re doing so well!

                    Fonzie was finally awake when I was getting ready to go biking, so he got to use the carrier for the first time! It’s a little awkward on the bike because it sits lower than I’d like, but he enjoyed it much more than being in mom’s basket! Mom took King and Ringo. Whether it’s for a car ride or a bike ride, Ringo always swears he wants to go. We all know he doesn’t like it. He starts breathing hard and making chirping noises. Every so often we’ll break down and take him. He reacts the same every time.

                    It was a little hectic getting going, though. I’d come down to ask mom if she felt up to going because she felt bad the previous day so we skipped it. That’s when Fonzie woke up. In between getting the carrier contraption on and my dad, who thinks he’s helping but really isn’t , I forgot my helmet! Oops.

                    During the bike ride, I saw two pairs of cat ears around the corner - one large and one small. It must have been the mama kitty with the kitten. The kitten was in the street by the curb, so I moved over so it wouldn’t get too scared. It got up on the curb and watched. Mama kitty was watching the whole thing. I love seeing the kittens in the morning!

                    I felt awkward during Upper Body Kickboxing. It was very fast paced.

                        My arms are still burning from all those arm exercises!

                        Progress check revealed that I didn’t regress when it comes to push ups, even though this month has been spotty . During stretching today, Casey had me do roll ups. They were a lot easier than they were last month. It’s nice to know I’ve made progress in other areas, too!

                        Vacuumed and mopped the floor and cleaned my bathroom. It was more exhausting than it should have been.

                        That was not not my favorite yoga workout. Fonzie was tired and he wouldn’t stay on the chair to go to sleep. He kept trying to crawl into my lap. Finally I just let him sit on my mat with me and I put his blanket down, too. He decided to use my leg as a pillow. I hurt his feelings when I had to move to do thread the needle.

                        I’ve decided to start over on The Last Days of John Lennon. I’m not sure when I’ll pick it up again, but hopefully soon. Usually, when I start reading any book about The Beatles, I devour it. Maybe it’s because I know what the end of this one will be.

                              My muscles all feel tired, not sore. I didn’t really feel like exercising today, but I did the Blogilates beginner calendar workout and yoga. I could’ve done my challenges, too, but arms are still burning and I figured they deserved the rest. Besides, holding myself up during yoga was plenty.

                                I'm sorry about your depression, but I think it's excellent that you still keep this thread! Well done on your improvements; being able to see progress is a great boost. Good to listen to your body. If you felt like your arms needed a rest, chances are they did, and they'll thank you for it. I'm just catching up on your thread - all your little icons are cute!
