    On our bike ride, mom said hers felt off. We were on the last turn before the turn to go home when her pedal fell off. She was just going to walk it the rest of the way and fix it at home, but a man happened to be working on his car right by us. He offered to fix her pedal for her, and he also adjusted her seat. Now we’ve got to figure out what to give him for a thank you. So our ride took longer than normal. Did I mention how much I love being able to start, stop, and pause a workout from my watch? Because I really, really do.

    It looked like it ke it could rain any time during our ride, and I took advantage of the cooler weather and took the dogs for a walk right after. The ones who like to stroll were difficult. Our neighbor from across the street was sitting in his yard, and my pug Rolo and chihuahua Ringo started barking at him. Of course when I told them to stop, my little Fonzie had to get on to them, too. He’s my backup . But they would walk for a few seconds and then stop. The leashes were so tangled up. The next two who went like to go, so that was a lot easier. Except my brother’s dog likes to put his nose on the ground and go all over the street. Walks got done, though, so victory.

                    I messed up with the dog training. According to the app (dogo), I’m only supposed to use the command when they perform it correctly 80% of the time. Oops. But I didn’t goof too bad - they all learned to sit pretty quickly. The next assignment is to lift my legs high when walking and reward them when they react in a friendly manner or if they don’t react at all. This is to teach them to ignore people who walk in uncoordinated ways, like kids or drunk people. What if I don’t want my dogs to condone drunken behavior? But really, it seems like an odd thing to do, and it would feel weird giving them treats. Oh well. Guess it’s gotta be done.


                    My little cat Mercury has gotten into this habit where he’ll reach out and touch me when he wants attention. This is new. He usually just meows at me and gets close. But it’s so cute. He’ll lift his paw and hesitate a second before touching me. I couldn’t help but laugh at how adorable he is, but I think I hurt his feelings. Good thing he forgives easy.

                            So tired yesterday. I didn’t do training.

                            Went out to lunch at a new place with family. I got a barbecue grilled cheese and had them hold the beef bacon. As many times as I looked at the menu and read it, I did not realize until after we ordered that this was the only meat on the sandwich. So it ended up being a grilled cheese sandwich with barbecue chips and barbecue sauce . It was good, though!

                            I’ve started watching Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I’d seen those TV inspired workouts that are similar to drinking games but with exercises instead of (nasty) alcohol. I’d never found one for shows that I was currently watching, but I found one for SVU. Had to make a few adjustments (I’m not doing burpees!) and I figured I’d have to make adjustments every week or so since I’m binge watching. But then I realized that it would be better to make different ones for each day of the week to correspond to the training plan I’m supposed to be following. So... there’s a project .

                            Tried a new yoga for sleep video, and I didn’t like it too well. Too much time spent with knees to chest for my liking.
