So, on Monday I started on Square One. But the rest of the week? I was just so. Tired. I don’t know why. I’m going to try starting over this week.

My oldest cat, Milo, has a thing for olive cans*. We discovered this several years ago when he kept getting into the trashcan to get it. We discovered that one of his sons, Mercury, also likes it. Thanks, dad, for leaving an empty olive can out... Other weird traits he gave his sons? Licking plastic bags. Which is fun to deal with.

*It’s the weirdest thing! I did look it up, and it’s because they contain compounds that are similar to catnip. We used to let him play with the can back when it didn’t have sharp edges. But my mom’s dog would rip the label off, and he’d want nothing more to do with it.

All of my cats but Casper loved licking plastic bags!

JCU Milo was the first cat I’ve had to do that. I don’t remember who (Mercury or Gator) licked plastic bags first, but after a while the other joined in. Fur babies

I’m still at a point where exercise is a little difficult for me, especially if I have to bend over. But yoga! I miss it! I’d intended to workout more and attempt a slow sun salutations sequence, but Fonzie was being clingy. I’d gotten him to go to sleep, was preparing to exercise, and then he woke up. So I just managed to get in a short yoga practice. Still a win!

I ended up with a headache on Tuesday (the 15th) but managed the Zen Yoga Workout. Wednesday I had stomach problems and didn’t exercise at all. It all went downhill from there.

                          Time for some random tidbits.

My aunt gave me a bag of Dunkin‘ Donuts Iced Coffee Jellybeans. I opened them up to try them and Fonzie went nuts! He wanted them so bad. I was laying them on my desk as I picked out one of each, and he ended up knocking one down. I had to hide them in a drawer because he wouldn’t stop trying to get to them.

We got an Echo Dot. I am not big on the whole thing. I mean, I’m not going to make this something so essential to my life. I’m also a tad paranoid about it, having seen too many things about these kinds of devices. But it’s fun to mess with. I enjoy getting a daily fact and making it sing (the songs it comes up with!) and tell jokes. I was waiting it’s arrival because I wanted it to show up before dad came home so I could mess with him. What’s a daughter for? He proceeded to cuss it. My sister also has an Alexa device that they don’t use anymore. She said hers kept talking without being prompted, which is absolutely terrifying. She said it got on her nerves so much that she ended up cussing it out (notice anything about my family?) and it responded by saying she wasn’t very nice. Luckily we haven’t had any issues with ours.

We have steps for our dogs to get up on the couch. My sweet Rolo was trying to get up the stairs from the side and we were confused until we noticed that one of the dogs threw up right in front of the stairs. I don’t blame him one bit.

And guys. Shopping has been really difficult. My mom has had trouble with feeling really worn out when she walks long distances. She’s in the process of figuring it all out. But in the meantime, she has to use a cart. I have to trail her with a grocery cart. It’s difficult to hear her, so I’m one of those annoying people who has to constantly walk around my basket to hear what she’s saying. My aunt does her own shopping, but likes to follow us around. And I’m not talking just shopping alongside us. No. She’ll follow us so close behind, just to see what all we’re doing, that if I have to leave to grab something I’ll come back to no room between my basket and hers. Or she’ll walk right beside us, leaving no room on the other side of the aisle, and it feels like she tries to cut in between me and mom knowing that I have to be behind her while we’re shopping. It is so aggravating! Of course, saying anything won’t do any good. It would either end in her just laughing it off or being upset, but it wouldn’t change a thing. And I know it sounds really stupid, but it’s already a stressful situation for me (darting around and trying to avoid getting into people’s way/apologizing when I accidentally do get in their way is just not a calming activity) and it just makes it worse. I don’t know if it’s a sensory overload issue.

Pine-sol might be going onto the list of smells that trigger my migraines. Never a fun discovery.

I had another fussy stomach day, so I intended to attempt just a light belly dance practice. Didn’t happen. Why? Because I was watching videos on watercolor paintings. Does anybody else have so many things they want to get back into/try out that your focus changes every day?
