I know it’s been a while. All last week I felt off, so I didn’t keep up with the Walking Challenge. I’m trying to figure out some sort of routine or something to hopefully regain enough strength (if that’s what my problem is) so that this isn’t a problem anymore. So for now, I won’t be updating my log like I usually do. The last two days I used the Vivaspa Whole Body Vibration Machine but I didn’t feel so great today, so I skipped it.

There was some family drama last week. Stupid crap. But also, more reasons why, although they are my family and I love them, I do not like them. It certainly didn’t help my mood last week either.

The doorbell rang earlier, which always scares the crap out of me, and I got a package. Mom asked if I ordered a book, and I didn’t. It dawned on me that I’d entered a bunch of Goodreads giveaways. I really should check my email more often. But this was a nice surprise and my first ever giveaway win! So that’s nice. It’s The Seamstress of New Orleans by Diane C. McPhail if any of you were wondering. Also: Fonzie really loves mail. We’re good about keeping important things out of puppy reach, but we do indulge him every so often by giving him junk mail. So he got to play with the package for a little bit after I got all my stuff out of it.

It almost snuck up on me without me realizing (because I’ve had so much trouble keeping up with the days) but we’ve got fur baby birthdays tomorrow! My three kittens (even though they’re almost 6 years old, they are still kittens!) will officially be one year older tomorrow after 8:30 p.m. and Fonzie and Ringo will be 3! Fun fact: Mercury once got really offended a few years ago when I said he was turning 3. I won’t be telling him that he will be 6...

Started off so well. I made my lemon water with honey and cinnamon (the way I used to drink it before I got lazy and just did lemon) on Saturday night for Sunday morning. I picked out a workout that I extended to do in the evening and then... life happened. My aunt finally cleaned off her dresser that my mom was going to replace hers with. Which of course my dad took to mean that they had to switch right then. Resulted in mom and I going through boxes for about an hour and a half. We had dinner late and I was just too tired and sore. Still an active day and I met all my other goals, so it’s a win, even if I won’t be counting it as non-zero.

I finally hid all my Ancestry matches so I could sort through them easier! Final tally? 68,673 matches. That’s not counting the new ones that have come in since then. But still! Enough new matches have come through that, even though I have sorted through and “shown” some matches, I’m still sitting at 68,741 matches. More than I started with!

When I looked into Ancestry I had maybe 10 matches, I remember 4 specifically. Yours boggle the mind!

Great job moving things! That's definitely one of my weak points...

JCU It is quite a lot. Even worse if you take add the 23andMe matches that didn’t also do ancestry...

I probably could have done a little more (not a complete set) on One Day at a Time, but I didn’t want to push too much. I think I’m going to try to just complete one set of exercises, if I can do that much, for a week and then build on that.

Writers block already! Couldn’t think of a single thing.

Have you tried stream of conscious writing? I find typing it is easiest, because writing it by hand makes me pause and think, but it's just whatever comes to mind. No formatting, no editing, no capitalization or punctuation (if you're feeling daring). Just let things flow.

I've had mixed results. Sometimes things come out. Others it makes the block worse. 🤷‍♀️

JCU Yes, I have. I found this one website a while back that's now updated and I have the option to blur what I'm writing and disable the backspace. I chose both. That's what I used Sunday. I just had no initial idea that made me want to write. I'm still working on writing every day because I know that's what you're supposed to do. I'll get there eventually .

I found writing by hand in general better because I couldn't edit as much as I can when I'm typing. But I think faster than I can write, so I switched to typing.
