    Dadalo's Darebee Diary (D3)

I couldn't help but try to use alliteration in my title

I literally stumbled upon Darebee in the Google Playstore when I was looking for more exercise apps this morning. Three months ago I had a tumor removed from my spinal cord and I've been trying to come back to my old normal of daily HIIT after weeks of very mild physical therapy. Prior to the surgery, I had been doing HIIT every day, so you can imagine how I feel about losing my old routine.

I've got a lot of side effects to overcome, but it sure looks like the Darebee resources will fit my needs as I slowly make my way back. Physical therapy is no longer enough and while Yoga, Barre and 7-minute routines help a little, I still have fundamental problems with balance and moving my extremities to work on.

Two things for today after learning my way around (5/23)
    1. Selected the Foundation Light program to start tomorrow.
    2. Did today's Daily Dare (4 times, 2 extra credits). I could not have done that after surgery as the tumor was in my neck. Much more strength in my trapezius muscles. Some progress.

    Today I started with
    - One Minute Meditation Challenge (which I have been doing!)
    - Knee Push-Ups 30 Day Challenge (which are doable, but a challenge)

    I'm thinking about adding the
    - Daily Gratitude Challenge (which I have been trying to do in my journal)

I found the Android app, but is there an iOS app I can put on my iPad? I can't find it in the App store. Regardless, I'm grateful to have found this community.

There is so much good stuff here. I just found the RPG challenges and the office workout, if I ever get back there..,.

      Welcome to the hive

I hope you can progress in your way back to fitness. It seems from your posts that you have a strong decision to do that, so first goal is already achieved. Keep going !!!
The community will be here to read about your achievements. Each one, however small it may seem, will be celebrated by us.

          5/25/2020, so far:

          1. One Minute Meditation Challenge
          2. Quick Warm-Up
          3. Foundation Light program day 2! (sure was hard on the shoulders!)
          4. Knee Push-Ups 30 Day Challenge day 3!
          and
          Daily Gratitude Challenge day 2
I'm feeling the effects of this new routine on my legs and it worries me a bit. I may have to dial back on the Foundation Light and Quick Warm-Up. I should be healing and I don't want to do any more damage.

            5/26/2020, so far:

            1. One Minute Meditation Challenge
            2. Quick Warm-Up
            3. Foundation Light program day 3! (sure was hard on the shoulders!)
            4. Knee Push-Ups 30 Day Challenge day 4!
            and
            Daily Gratitude Challenge day 3

Based on yesterday's comments and reaction, I think I have to dial back to the Baseline and Morning Stretch. Jacks of any sort are pounding on my spinal cord and causing problems.

              5/27/2020:

              1. One Minute Meditation Challenge, Day 5
              2. Morning Stretch, Day 1
2.5 Rest and Repair, Day 1
              3. Baseline, Day 1
              4. Knee Push-Ups 30 Day Challenge day 5!
              5. Daily Gratitude Challenge day 4

Not where I want to be, but this is a better program for where I am in recovery.

Update at 5 PM: Couldn't do the Daily Dare, so my evening workout was Best Thing Since Sliced Bread.

Ok, I couldn't stay away. After 4 hours of working on the pool, I needed to relax:
                    A. 8 Pieces of Brocade Qigong
                    B. Better Balance (3 sets) for PT/recovery. A lot of work needed here. ‚Äč

Thank you for the good wishes WSMC27 . I'm jealous of the beautiful bike - I have a Kawasaki Ninja and a Can-Am Spyder that are idle until I recover. Darebee is such a great community to help along the way.
