    Starting Over

    I have been a long time fan of the site! I've completed many of the workouts in the past. In high school, I ran cross country and in my early 20's ran several half marathons. I've been a lifelong dreamer and believer that I can do WHATEVER I set my mind to. There is often times a disconnect between my dreams and the results I want though. And now, I find myself in my early 30s, overweight, with plantar fasciitis, addicted to energy drinks and sugar and needing to change! I appreciate all this platform strives to do. I am starting over. I am the dreamer and look forward to sharing this journey with all of you. I am open to any suggestions you may have.

    Some of my dreams: Be a ninja on anw, run a marathon, dunk a basketball (I'm 5' 10"), be proficient at parkour, box, be able to do a pull up.

    thedreamer Welcome back to the Hive. The best time to start over is NOW. Make those dreams into reality. I'd start with a simple program as a baseline and continue to addon as the journey progresses. Put the ball in motion and momentum will take over. Stay focus, stay active, stay strong. Looking forward to your updates and progress.

      Thanks Toka! I appreciate the suggestions! I think I am going to start with the Baseline program. Finished day 1 today!. I'm going to also do the daily dares.
      photon I really like the way you post the progress of programs and daily dares! I'm going to mimic that slightly for my areas of improvement if that is alright.

        Baseline { 2/30 }
        Dares { 2 }
        Days energy drink free { 0 } - Dang, this one is hard for me!

        Felt good to complete another day! I tend to have to split up rounds further than the recommended 2 minutes since I've got little kiddos running around needing attention.

          Hello, friend! I, too, am starting over with fitness. I never was a sporty person, though, due to my asthma and scoliosis. I just wanted to wish you luck! And to recommend you be patient with yourself. My biggest downfall whenever starting over with exercise, is getting in my own head. I get down about myself when I see people doing the same types of workouts but they're doing better at it. I get frustrated with myself when I can't even complete a level 1 set. This time, I'm trying not to worry about that stuff and just get myself in shape. I'm doing my best to be patient with myself, to zoom out to the bigger picture and not let small failures weigh me down.

          Good luck, my friend! And good job so far! Keep it up, my dude. You got this.
