First of all: well done, many congrats! And thank you for your detailed review about this week. I definitely share your and Rainbow Dragon's opinion on the time factor. I too get easily bored with very high repetitions (counting!) and/or little diversification in a workout. That's why I like to do three sets (5 at the max) of one workout followed by three sets of another. Anyway I guess it is a cool series of combat-workouts - it's on my bucket list. Fearless, Close contact, Raid and the side-kicks-practice are the ones I can already recommend. Thanks again for your analysis, very interesting and entertaining to read. Stay safe and have fun.

Happy that my review can be useful or interesting for someone 💕💕💕

Husky Dog, thank you very much for sharing your opinion!
When I do demanding workouts, I always feel that the worse sets are the first ones: when I do the fourth one I know that I have less than half of the workout to do, and it gets easier. 😆

I hope that you are all safe and healthy, I wish you all a great day and fun workouts!
May the Force be with you 😊

Yes, I feel the same. That explains the importance of the mental part when doing everything, not only exercise. For me it's usual that the last set cost me less than the previous one, knowing that is the last one give me a boost.

For some workouts, the very first set is the worse one (may it be for either boredom or exertion). 😅 I definitely agree on the importance of mind. Sometimes, it can be harder to go beyond the limits set by mind than beyond the physical ones.

Hi bees! I would like to share a photo that I took yesterday with you, they are dog roses (Rosa Canina), now they are blossoming along the country trails and it's wonderful to enjoy them while walking.

HuskyDog yeah, it is 😄 In Italian we call it "Rosa selvatica" ( = wild rose), "Rosa di macchia" ( = bush rose) or "Rosa canina" (its Latin name).
The dog rose is a wild rose species and its name is a direct translation of its Latin name (Rosa canina). The origin of this name should be related either to the fact that the root of this rose was used as a cure for the bite of rabid dogs in the classical age or to the resemblance of its prickles to dogs' canines. 🐶

Here a photo of a cute kitten that I met yesterday during my walking. She looked like a mix of several cats, all in one 😄 Every paw was different and she was very cuddly 🐈 ❤️

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. I was not familiar with the latin name. I know it with the German / Austrian expression "Heckenrose" - a "Hecke" (engl. "hedge") is a living fence of roses, you probably know it from the grimm's fairy tale "sleeping beauty". Some hedges of this wild rose grow along my running trails; their rose hip fruits appear in late summer. I am sure you know them from teas (infusion) and jams.

Lovely cat; I would consider it a "50-shades-of-cat-colour"-kitty. Have a nice weekend!

Hi bees! 🐝 I hope you are all fine and safe!

                            Left, Right and Centre Challenge:

Yesterday I joined my first Challenge in the Playground: the Left, Right and Centre Challenge ("Side kick and Front snap kick with right leg + Side kick and Front snap kick with left leg" x 25 times - Extra Credit for kicking waist high or higher).

I did it in 1 minute and 5 seconds, with extra credit.

The first time I tried, I did it in 1 minute and 16 seconds. After a few tries, I got to 1 minute 5 seconds, but it seemed to me that, at that speed, my form was already affected, so I stopped. It was an interesting challenge, I had fun, I thought it would have taken more time for me to complete the challenge, so I feel satisfied 😊 In the future, it could be interesting to try again to reduce the time.

In a few days I will complete the Total Abs and the 30 Days of HIIT Programs, I am looking forward to choosing something new 🙌🏼

HuskyDog Thank you very much for your explanations! I love learning new things and also new words from other languages! Unfortunately, I only know a few words in German, but I hope to learn more in the future!

Hi bees! 🐝 I hope you are all fine and healthy!
Last week, I completed some challenges and programs but I didn't have time to update my log. So, in these days I will take time to do it and to share my opinions with you.

                              Tuesday, May 19th, 2020:
                              ✨ 30-Day Splits Challenge : completed! ✨

I love some good stretching, so, after the Flexibility Challenge, I was looking for another challenge based on stretching. The Splits Challenge is good to stretch legs and the side splits are even more effective if done after running. Like in the Flexibility challenge, there's both dynamic and static stretching.

Considering that it's a "simple challenge" (not a complete workout or a program), it's time-consuming: every day consists of both leg raises and side splits (it goes from 40 leg raises+40 seconds side splits to 620 leg raises+10 minutes side splits)...so before choosing it, it's better to consider that it will take around 10 minutes at the halfway point and around 15-20 minutes during the last days.

In some days, I felt a little bored, since it was leg raises and side splits everyday, with no diversification at all. I found it more boring and more time-consuming than the Flexibility challenge (this last one is more diverse since it's made up of days with side lunges+side splits and days with bridges and it takes less time since there are less repetitions).

On the other hand, in the Splits challenge I managed to do everything everyday without pain since it wasn't too much uncomfortable for my muscles and joints while sometimes it could be heavy for my knees doing side lunges almost everyday for the Flexibility challenge (but it could also depend on the fact that I was running a lot in the same period).

Besides the stretching, it seems to me that all those leg raises were also effective to tone legs...and if you give it all, they really make you sweat at the end! In terms of results regarding the side splits, Flexibility and Splits challenges are both very good and seemed similar to me, but it would have been better to take a photo at the beginning and at the end of the journey to understand the real difference...and I should take into consideration that I also did the Flexibility Week while doing the Flexibility challenge, so the results of this one may have been amplified by the great stretching workouts of the themed week.

When it was possible (unfortunately I could only in a few days), I asked some help to stretch gradually as much as possible during the side splits and I would recommend to work with a partner to have the best results. In my opinion, there's a big difference between doing the side split (and other stretching workouts) alone and having a friend to improve oneselves. (If you like training with a partner, here some nice partner stretches - If you have some good partner stretches to recommend, I'm all ears 😊)

As soon as possible, I will write also about the other things that I completed. I wish you a great day, guys! 🐝
Happy and safe workouts to you all!

                                Hi bees!
                                Another chapter of my updates:

                                Wednesday, May 20th, 2020:

🎉 Total Abs Program - level III : completed! 🎉

Someone may think that a program focused on abs is boring, instead I found it diverse and engaging! My brother did the first half of the program with me and we both had fun.

*Beginning of the spoiler about the contents of the program 😁 if you do not want to read about the contents, go to the following asterisk for the end of the spoiler*

There are six types of workouts in a sort of rotation (so it's hard to get bored!): circuits, active planks, flutter kicks to complete throughout the day, lower back, standing abs and plank hold (all with different types of exercises - apart from the flutter kicks). Most of the workouts are based on repetitions but some are time-based, diversifying the program even more.

                                *End of the spoiler*

I generally had fun while doing it and I had no problems in completing the workouts, some circuits were a little bit hard, above all when there were leg raises or raised leg circles at the end of the set (they are the ab exercises that I like less 😅), but in those days the worse sets were usually the first ones (as already said in some previous posts, the last set is always the easiest for me). Since I combined Total Abs with 30 Days of HIIT, I was a little bored when there were planks in both programs on the same day or in more days in a row...also some of the last circuits were a little boring, since they had several repetitions and were more time-consuming. Circuits were the workouts I liked less while Lower back days were my favourite ones, they were pretty easy for me, so I usually did them twice.

Time required to complete each day may vary a lot: from few minutes to around 45 minutes for the last circuits (if done level III - 7 sets). I kept rest time close to zero for all the days, apart from some circuits, when I did one minute rest.

I had no problems in following the program, maybe also due to its diversification, I never felt muscles too sore to train. My abs were just a little sore in the last circuits, but nothing unbearable. Some days I had some back pain, maybe I should have stretched more.

As regards results, I don't feel or see a big difference but Total Abs for sure helped me in burning some calories and in strenghtening the core a little.

Have some of you tried the Total Abs program or the Splits challenge? If so, what are your opinions about?

Have a nice day, bees! 🐝 I hope you are having fun with your programs and workouts!
