During the coming weeks I might return to the congrats I’ve received here and let myself motivate in that way as there won’t be badges for a while ☹️. This was the last program of my daily routine that I still had to complete.
Thinking of badges, my swim today was almost badge-worthy🏆🎗: I’ve never swum a distance as long as today: 1600 m instead of the regular 1000m!
I intend to come up with a new exercise routine soon. But first I’ll have some rest and hopefully a definite recovery from my cold.
Today’s Trainings log
swimming, 45 minutes - 1600 m
evening hike with kid - 45 minutes - 3,5 km
I’ve looked at ‘30 days of strength’ several times these days, while scrolling through the programs and looking for one to pick. Each time I liked the program and this morning I completed day 2. But something was odd 🧐.
I didn’t remember actually having chosen ‘30 days of strength’ 🤔. I remembered day 1 - with the lunges and squats - but searching through my log I couldn’t find back day 1.
The conclusion felt weird: reading about ‘30 days of strength’ and seeing ‘day 1’ must have landed in my mind as an experience rather than a intention.
Looking at ‘day 1‘ once again, I still recognize the lunges and squats, but also see the less familiar lunge step-ups and slow climbers. Now the conclusion feels like a fact 🤫. And still weird.
So an unintended start of ‘30 days of strength’, but it might work out well, hopefully tomorrow it’ll be continued by ‘day 1’.

2000 Push-Ups Challenge - day 2

Yesterday after my 50 push-ups the few pull-ups of the Pull-Up challenge were really hard. So today I swapped day 4 and 5 of the Pull-Up challenge. From now challenging Pull-up days will go together with an easy day of the 2000 Push-Ups Challenge.
Today’s Trainings log
Spartan Trials [day 4 - leveI III - no rest]
30 days of strength [day 3 - leveI III - no rest]
2000 Push-Ups Challenge [day 4]
Pull-up Challenge lv1 - day 5
Total time: 33 minutes
Felt very tired today. Luckily the exercises on my Darebee program were light.
It was an inner struggle to leave the car at home, get on my bike and cycle to my appointment. On my bike pedaling against the strong wind listening to music kept me going.

My smartwatch keeps telling me I should take it more easy with the exercises, it’s even suggesting a rest day (based on HRV-score). Not the advice I’d like to hear. Something is wrong about machines dictating what I should do.
But this time I’ll listen to my watch. No sports from Friday till Sunday. And the good thing is that it’ll be easy.
I’m on a trip for the weekend with my aunt, visiting theaters and museums and having a lot of fun. Strolling around and discovering a new city, we’ve even walked some 10 km.
Just before midnight in my hotel room I make sure I’m not blindly following the advice of my smartwatch. Instead of ‘no exercises at all’ I do two planks of 20 seconds. Might not seem a firm gesture. But by doing that I‘ve completed day 6 of the Push-Ups challenge .
