The night before yesterday I couldn’t sleep and slept for only four hours. Waking up, the first word that came to mind was ‘tired’. Not the right word, I discovered soon. My state felt worse. As if I ‘d drunk a bottle of wine the night before. Or two. But I hadn’t done such thing.

Normally I try doing my exercises early in the day. But now I didn’t know how to start them. I told myself that I could just pick one of the - seemingly many - exercises, I didn’t have to complete them all in one go. So I gave it a try.
Alas to no avail. After the first set I stopped.

In the evening though, I tried again. It still seemed impossible. But I did finish the first exercise. Surprised myself. Then finished the first set, second set, etc.
Finally I did my whole daily routine. It was a great experience: doing more than I thought was possible.

That was yesterday. Though ‘doing more’ felt good, my motto for today goes more like: taking a rest also can be great.
I went to the swimming pool, completed a Darebee-exercise and furthermore called it a rest day.

I feel less exhausted than in the past few days. Continuing my daily routine again feels good.

Sometimes it seems my body has gotten used to the exercises so much - after six months of Darebee - that it longes for the activity. Timing is a bit of a thing there though. The need for movement is mostly absent during the day but sometimes keeps me awake at night.

I guess it just fits the profile, for my entire life I‘ve struggled with the Concept of Time: keeping a day rythm, planning, keeping track of time, all of them.
This week I’m working up the courage for starting the challenge ‘going to bed on time’, somewhere soon.

Since I’ve started playing the guitar I try to be careful with my arm injury (long lasting RSI). Every morning after having succeeded getting out of bed, I do Darebee’s Rotator Cuff (a two minute rehab workout for the shoulder joint area, good for arms and hands).

Doing this workout as a first thing in the morning, before coffee, looking at the newspaper or anything else, gives me a relaxed start of the day. Also, starting the other exercises becomes a less big of a leap. It’s becoming a routine that I appreciate a lot.

I had some difficulty with my back doing the side leg raises (core strenght - day18). Some joint in my lower back yelled that it’s made to help my legs move in the opposite direction, not sideways. So it started hurting.
Maybe some of the exercises I did in the past days were too much a strain on my back (flutter kicks, sitting leg raise holds). Guess I have to be careful with those in the coming days.

                          patwillwoo Thanks!

Before leaving home in the morning, there wasn’t time for exercises. I had a nice day out, spend some free time doing nothing that’s on a to-do list. Had dinner with friends.

After dinner - a lot of good Indian food - I felt relaxed and sleepy. I thought of my exercises. They were still waiting to get done while my body was preparing for sleep. In the car on the way back home it was already getting dark and my whole system felt ready for bed.

Coming home at 21.00, I decided to postpone the sleep business a bit, remembering how much I love to stick to my training routine. Half past nine I was ready - changed into sport shirt, exercise mat rolled out - and started.

On my program was day 27 of Boxer challenge, 2000 punches throughout the day. That seemed great for tomorrow, but not so great for tonight, so I swapped it for day 28. Otherwise I did all the exercises on my list.

Now I’ll go to sleep feeling good and knowing the 2000 punches will be easy tomorrow when I start early.

After days of having symptoms typically associated with the flu, it took me until today to discover the obvious reason for the severe understatement that kept crossing my mind: ‘not feeling so well‘. I’m having a cold. Still did some exercises.

Still having a cold 🤒😷. Sleeping in helped. Guess I’ll need another day to feel better again and to get back to my exercises.
                                Did my two challenges.
