I changed the high knees in fit December to March steps, but I finished the day! Those leg raises in the advent calendar were much harder than I expected, though...

I'm feeling better today! Thanks for all the healing vibes! Hopefully the exhaustion will pass soon. At least it's this week! Christmas would be no fun feeling like this!

Liam has rediscovered the outside stair cover. To be fair, it was covered in junk all summer, so he couldn't use it as a bed for many months. Now, if he's not snoozing in the grass, he's contently sleeping on the cover. The weirdo. It always makes us wonder if we should get him a dog house, but then he barks at almost every little sound and we remember why we haven't done that.

I will have been posting on Instagram for a year in 10 days. That's completely wild! Not quite every day, but certainly close!

This picture is from 11 months ago (plus 9 days or so). It's long been a favorite of mine. I just changed my phone background again and there was just no other option! I want another picture, hopefully on the same date, to see the changes a year has brought!

Liam has been in a bit of a mood today. Barking at sounds he usually ignores, running madly after being outside for a few minutes, and playing rougher than usual. It's probably just the weather being cold enough for a very light amount of snow, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

Tried Sudafed for my sinuses. No luck. Tried Benadryl followed immediately by a mocha (cup of hot chocolate, half a teaspoon of instant coffee, whipped cream) and I didn't notice a huge change in my head, but no sleepiness! So it balanced out. 2 hours later? Caffeine ran its course. S o t i r e d.

So I'm trying the Benadryl again in a bit with my melatonin. I'll be sleeping early and deeply tonight!

Well, all jumping jacks were downgraded to step jacks and those pacer steps were slow. But it got done!

Benadryl isn't doing much either, unfortunately. I'll be doing the combo in a bit and see if that helps. If it doesn't, I'm pulling out all the flu fighting medicines. Not that I have the flu. Just that nothing else seems to be kicking whatever I do have.

Nutcracker tomorrow! Since I'm mostly lethargic with mucus deep in my sinus cavities, I will be going. I will have so much liquid with me. Anyone else notice an incredible dryness in a movie theatre?

And then Matrix Resurrections on Wednesday! I'll be watching it at home thanks to HBO+ and maybe with my brother. It depends when it drops and if he works. We will geek out about it together anyway!

The Nutcracker. Oh, Bees. I went into it knowing a nutcracker came to life. And that it was a ballet with no vocal aspect. Only the scene notes told me it was all a dream. I seriously wanted a Bluetooth headphone and someone whispering in my ear telling me what the heck was going on.

It was spectacular. I'll be seeing it again next year. Hopefully live!

Mucinex is part of my flu fighters, DorothyMH! I had to get the sinus variety specifically, but it's helping! An honest overdose of Vitamin C (let's not get into what that does to the color of certain bodily excretions, shall we?), doubling up on Zinc, plenty of hot liquids, and a myriad of medicines round out my days. I don't need the Benadryl now, though, so the drowsiness is not too bad!

I'm so very glad Mandarin oranges don't bother me as much as most citrus. My tongue can only handle so much orange juice before it starts revolting.

I massively overslept (10:40 and even then I dozed until 11), but Liam was an angel! He was quiet until Dad left, then slept peacefully! I really needed that today!

This is the first time you’ve see the Nutcracker??? I grew up going to it on a regular basis and I took my daughter as often as I could over the years. We are now making it an official annual event for my granddaughter, and I try to go along whenever I can. I love it. Still. The music is wonderful.

It was the first time, DorothyMH! I'm definitely hoping to make it annual, though! We have a pretty great theatre in the city and I hope they have different companies over the years to get a chance to see different takes on it. Super fun!

Today was one of those days it almost felt like cheating to use the Hall Pass. Not sorry I did at all! Super glad Mom is getting a Theragun Mini for Christmas, though. My poor Achilles...

The guy who sprays bug repellent come by today. Liam was so gracious to wake me with his barking. At least his guarding instincts are intact! yay.

The Matrix Resurrections is spectacular. If you get the chance, and liked the first trilogy at all, see it. I didn't love the second or third movies, barely remember the plots, to be honest, and I love this movie. I laughed enough my throat is unhappy with me! So, so good!
