      Terribly sorry for not commenting on posts yesterday! It was a very slow day. Casper woke Liam at 2, my brother woke him at 3, and he didn't want to come in until 4. After seeing and barking at a deer. All things that aren't fun, especially that early in the morning.

      Today was almost worse: I got caught up in things last night and needed to do laundry, so got less than 5 hours of sleep. Adrenaline for the win! I'm hoping to crash very soon!

      Good news: got back to the dancing! Both lessons I've already done, so though I went through the hip twists again, I didn't bother to rewatch the accents. My back was very unhappy with me, though, so I'll see what I feel like tomorrow before starting a new lesson.

      ​​​​​​​Deer. Again. At least it's not 4?

            I had an unexpected trip yesterday and couldn't fit workouts or dancing in. I did get to the store, though, so I'll call it even.

            We made it to the park today! The map of leaf coloration is a bit off. I know we're not quite peak yet, but there were many more green trees than colored.

            It was still really pretty, though! And I didn't know there's a small waterfall there? So that was fun! We didn't go to half the areas, but that's expected with my mom with us. She's on her feet all day with work and doesn't have the strength to go hiking on a day off.

            (Mind, the trails were really clear and along the road most of the time, so I don't really consider it "hiking".)

            I'd love to go again with my sister and make a day of it. It's only an hour away, so leaving after breakfast with a packed lunch would give us plenty of time! And she's the one who loves camping, so win-win!

            ​​​​​​​I'm working on the pictures. Resizing ruined their quality and adding then to Google Docs has them being an epilepsy danger. Maybe Facebook?

                Another catch-up day. I'll not be doing any workouts tomorrow with Bernice and Dr. Tyler in the late morning. I need to have time to eat something!

                Deer are becoming more prevalent. That means barking we just can't stop during the day and growling at night. They give off a sound that I can't really explain, but is very weird! I was pretty sure I saw them a few days ago, running away. Today, when I was using the flashlight to see Liam, there were 4 little orbs of reflective light when I panned across the neighbor's yard. Interesting Times at 12:30, Presented by Dog!

                Speaking of Liam, he's starting to branch out in his vocalizations! I overslept and then stayed in bed for a few hours (trying to remember dreams with a conscious mind is difficult!) and Dad came and went in that time period. Liam went from barking, to whining, to... singing? It's not a traditional howl (a-woo), it's sort of a combination of whine and bark. So it ranges in pitch, like singing! I'll record it one of these days!

                Anyone who lives in the US: from a grocery employee: there's a good chance there will be turkey shortages around Thanksgiving. If you can find one now, buy it! Wegmans is currently selling frozen birds at $1.69/pound. (I know that's a bit niche, sorry!)

                  Dr. Tyler has a new puppy! Golden doodle, which is a ridiculous name for an adorable pup! He finally figured out his bed, the dear.

                  Liam used to jump and "bite" as a puppy, too. The difference? Double the weight and teeth size. Theo is a ball of fluff in comparison!

                  So, apparently the tightness in my elbows is tendonitis. That's fun. Dr. Tyler gave me exercises to loosen everything, though, so it should be okay.

                  Now to see what Liam's reaction to this new scent is!

                        Ahhhhhh, I am trying so HARD to not want a puppy!!!!
                        Getting my daughter’s 1+ year old Canoe is as close to a NEW pup as I wanna be right now. They are just so much work wrapped up in SUCH an adorable package

                              Well, I ignored one of my own lessons on Tuesday. Liam stole my socks and I tried to bribe them away. I ignored his growling, pulled the treat away, and he didn't like that.

                              Good news! My hand is almost fully back to normal size! It may still bruise, but the swelling will need to finish going down first. And I can crack my knuckles again!

                              My bruises have bruises. I've read that phrase before and now entirely understand it. My poor arm... It'll be plenty colorful in a few days.

                              I pushed through with the basics yesterday and my hand didn't like it. I took it even easier today - downgraded the jumping jacks to half jacks in the challenge - and skipped the splits exercises. It's helped with the pain greatly!

                              I'll look into workouts and dancing in the next few days. I may be able to do them tomorrow, but don't want to push anything.

                              I have to give you all the thanks, TheLibrarian! You posted a book on Instagram, The Art of NASA, and I thought immediately of my sister. What perfect timing as her birthday was yesterday. She loves it! Thanks so much for the idea!
