    Owning the night

I figured maybe I should edit and add a little background. Up until late last year my workouts consisted of mainly running. I logged just over 500 miles last year and "ran" my first marathon in November. I use quotes because I ended up walking a lot of it due to a knee injury. Not my best work. I feel like I've finally gotten that resolved though. I'm tentatively aiming for 750 miles this year and hopefully redeeming myself with another marathon. I really need to get my butt in gear! I joined a gym and started strength training in December to supplement my running, mix things up a bit, and hopefully help prevent any further injury.

I feel like I'm in pretty decent shape but this was harder than I thought it would be. Tomorrow is going to be one of those hurt so good kind of days!

    WOTD-The Comeback
    DD-Leg Raises

Working tomorrow and Saturday so unsure if I'll be able to fit anything else in until Sunday.

Welcome to the Hive. I think most people kind of "enjoy" those days - in a weird way! It lets us know we've used our bodies in new ways, and that's always fun. Enjoy the journey.

Thank you! I am sore today but it's a good sore.

I didn't have much time today but managed the DD and got through one round of the WOTD. I suppose it's better than nothing. Now I have to find my hustle and get ready for work!

Was hoping to get a workout in Sunday but life happened.
Worked all day Monday and Tuesday. I was hoping to get to the gym today but I'm not feeling very motivated. What I did do today:

          Age of Pandora-Chapter 2
          WOTD-Chapter 1
          DD-Uneven Plank (EC)

Maybe I'll feel a little more energized tomorrow.

Did 1.3 miles snowshoeing with the fam this morning and did the DD with EC (6 total/5 EC/4 In A Row). Not sure if I'll get anything else in today or not.

Soo....This turned into a cheat day. I fell off the wagon, nutritionally speaking. Actually, I didn't just fall off. The dang thing ran me over and is nowhere to be seen now. I did do the DD (7 total/6 EC/5 in a row) so there's that. I'll wrangle me up a new wagon tomorrow and get back to it.

I definitely paid for Sunday's dietary indiscretions yesterday. I really don't know why I do that to myself. Thankfully I usually know better and don't do it very often. I did do the DD (8 total / 7 EC / 6 in a row) but that was pretty much it. My stomach was pretty unhappy. I'm still feeling a bit sluggish today but I did get in a workout. Why is it always so hard to get back into it? Anyway, today:

                      Age of Pandora-Chapter 5
                      WOTD-The Wasp
                      DD-Seagulls w/ EC (9 total / 8 EC / 7 in a row)

@Shelexie-Thanks! I'm really loving these workouts and I'm finding they are easier to fit into my day which is awesome. Now I just need to hurry up and complete some programs so I can get some nifty little badges!

In regards to today, the hubs woke up sick today. Bad enough that he called into work and held the couch down all day. That's saying something because I can count on one hand the number of times that's happened in our 16 year relationship. I always kinds laugh when people talk about "man flu" because it's never really applied to him. If anything, I'm the one that gets whiny and needy and acts like I'm knocking on deaths door when I'm sick. That being said, here's hoping he doesn't pass it to me! I did manage to get a workout in today though it was a little later than usual. Done today:

                          Age of Pandora-Chapter 6
WOTD-Raw Grit (Holy smokes I'll be feeling this one tomorrow!
                          DD-Chest Sqeeze (Deceptively difficult..10 total/9EC/8 in a row)

Now I'm off to bed. Have to be up at 5:30 for an class at 8 (it's almost 2 hours away). It goes until noon. Then it's straight to work until 1 am. Then another 12 hour shift on Friday. Hoping to do fun family stuff this weekend though. I'm also hoping for something that I can stand up and do for the DD tomorrow so I don't have to break my streak. Fingers crossed!
